New positions

One of the biggest problems with clans is promotions you are ether

elder: can invite and fire members
co-Leader: can invite Members, Fire members or Elders, send messages, start wars, edit clan subscription,
make the clan invite only and more!

So if you want somebody to do ANY OF THESE THINGS, YOU HAVE TO MAKE HIM A CO-LEADER witch is BAD
because co-leaders can DESTROY YOUR CLAN! And if you have experience with clans you will know that this HAPPENS ALL THE TIME
So i think new positions should be added like..

Warlord: Can start wars
Messenger: Can send clan mail​
And the chat filter guy (sorry cant think of a name) can tag a in-chat message as foul language witch automatically sends it to the leader (for no cursing clans)

A player can hold more than one of these positions.

Do you not trust co-leaders? Because this is honestly how it sounds and since you have such a problem with co-leaders, then maybe only make the people in your clan that you trust co-leaders.

I was in a clan where you "earned" co-leader by donating 500 troops. And yes, some kid did come in, got elder (because that's how they did it - new members got elder) and he reached the donation limit. He got co-leader, and he kicked everybody he could out of the clan. You know what happened? We invited back everybody. We got most of them back. We kicked him as soon as the leader got on. But now that clan doesn't give out co-leader to just anybody. It's for trusted, loyal clan mates.

I think there only needs to be one more position. A position between elder and co-leader. That position is to reward those members who are loyal and been in the clan for awhile (or however you give out positions.) but that aren't ready to be co-leaders. But there's no need for multiple new positions. It'd make it more complicated. Just keep it simple, and only give out co-leader to those you trust.​

It doesn't matter that you've never met them. You become friends with them over time, and that's how you trust them.

well this was just an idea and ideas change, but i do think there needs to be a chat filter position. So clans that don't want bad language can actually do something about it

Or... Supercell can just implement that position into elder, with the ability to "report" messages. There's no need to create a whole new position for just something that position can do. Elders can invite, kick members, and accept or reject new people. They have a whole list of things they can do. Co-leaders can do all of that, plus start war, send mail, kick elders, and promote. So just make it so elders can report messages (which shouldn't just go to the leader; they should go to co-leaders, too, as they "co-lead" the clan.)

Your original post went from: co-leaders can destroy your clan. Okay, my solution? Demote or kick out those who "destroy" your clan and only give out co-leader to those who you feel deserved it. Don't make it so once they reach a certain donation amount they get co-leader. Make them actually earn it.

Secondly, if you don't want a clan full of bad language, put that in your clan description (no swearing) and if somebody comes into the clan and swears, kick them out. And then spam your chat so the swears go away.
