Ideas for Future Updates: Clash of Clans
It goes without question that there are A LOT of devoted Clashers, and a good majority of them see limitless potential for the game in years to come. I am one of these people. Below are a collection of ideas I have come across or thought of myself that I truly believe would broaden the game, and make it even more fun to play than it already is.
NOTE: I take no credit for any of the concepts listed and I am fully aware that they may have already been thought of in the past. Please forgive me if any of the concepts, or a similar concept has been ruled out and I missed it.
CLAN LIFE
>>> We were recently given the means to level up our clans with clan XP. This is such a great idea but I don't think that it is being implemented to its full potential. Right now clans can only earn XP by participating in war. But some clans prefer not to participate in war whatsoever. Clan XP should be attainable through all aspects of clan life. eg. Donating, or even when individual players within the clan earn a new achievement or level up.
>>> Upgrading structures in your base is a costly and time consuming process that have caused many good players to stop playing. Players should be able to lend builders to their clan-mates to speed up an upgrade.
>>> Now I know this idea has been voted against but you can always count on your neighbour for a cup of sugar right? So why aren't clan-mates allowed to donate resources? The resource storages already exist in clan castles, and this is another case of an aspect that is only used for war.
>>>There should be a way to win an extra attack in war, other users are right that if players were able to buy extra attacks it would not be good but imagine if a clan donated over say 5000 troops that season, it equalled to one extra attack in war.
TROOPS AND SPELLS
>>> A 1 HOUSING SPACE dark troop is something clash of clans needs. I think a suitable troop would be a spider. Imagine a swarm of spiders overwhelming a base. No my idea is that spiders should be able to scale walls and get over them and go for defences. I think they should have the same effect (but greatly reduced) as the freeze spell- temporarily disabling defences.
>>> A spell that makes enemy clan castle troops fight with your army temporarily.
>>> I agree that Supercell should not increase the time limit of attacks, but maybe have a spell that SLOWS DOWN defences temporarily.
OTHER IMPROVEMENTS
>>> In the latest update we became able to bookmark clans which is a great feature to have, but it should also be able to be utilized for bookmarking players. Its just one of those things that is a hassle, there is no way to stay connected to other players outside of clan life!
>>> Achievement associate with multi-player searches- I would absolutely love a grand total of how much gold I've spent searching for the perfect attack.
Level Requirement and language Filter
I like to to recruit based on level rather than trophies. We miss a lot of players who are just farming (low trophies) or get overwhelmed when we lower trophy requirement. To try and pick up those players.
A toggle for Level Required to join would be awesome!
We spend a lot of time recruiting only to find recruits don't speak our language..
A check board of languages spoken in layer profile and a toggle for Language Required to join would be AWESOME!
Research Center upgrade simultaneously
Just an idea:
in research center it is a must that we can upgrade our army simultaneously..e.g. Im currently upgrading my minion at the moment and since I already accumulated the right amount of elixir to upgrade another army, we should at least be allow to upgrade another army while upgrading my minion. Because its a research center, in real war there's no waiting in training or upgrading an army to become an expert. We should at least be allowed to train five (5) different army, max in one day at the same time, especially if you were able to accumulate the right amount of elixir. Waiting for five (5) or seven (7) without training another army is so frustratin!
