Sounds like a brilliant idea to me.
You should ask around what defence wins people see in thier League Listing. Of course with all the farming bases, and the fact that the attacker has the advantage of picking who they want to attack (to likely win), defence wins will not be common among the general player population. However, remembering off the top of my head, (and maybe a little inaccurate) I do see the occasional 1-5 wins, with the exceptional village with 15-30, and sometimes more wins than that on rare occasions. Depending on how long or hard you want people to push things for defensive wins, 1 every two days average (7 per session), or 2 every day on average (28 per season) would be your range of easy to hard.
An idea on this, with 7, 14, 21, and 28 win thresholds ( or maybe 5, 10, 15, 20, 25) is you can scale the loot reward to a given goal. You can have the reward tapper off to encourage people to just be defensive for awhile, or it can ramp up in amount, making people focus more on those defence wins (in lieu of other activities). Or can keep it constant...
Anyway, something to think about for your idea, having loot scale up or down as you win more, if it scales at all. Picking one of those changes with affect player behavior in a specific way, so think about how either you, or an 'average' player, would react to a given effect, and is that reaction what you intend to happen?
That loot scale idea is brilliant! You of course can restrict this to certain things.
By occasional 1-5 wins you mean like this? I'm not even in sub 200.

Kind of... ignoring the time stamps and the fact some of those are trophy drops, yeah.
Since you are back out of the sub 200 range, you can check what the League listings have. :)
