I could increase the housing space, but I do not want to change the mechanics of this troop, as Supercell can easily add a defensive level to balance it out.

Yeah, but 60% Is just ridiculous. No offense, but that's overpowered to the point of game-breaking. Imagine a swarm of troops or pekkas or high level heroes with a +60% damage boost. At the very least it should not do actual damage, just increase damage done. Still a good idea though.
This troops would be a great addition I feel it can change the game in a positive way. Thank u got this post hope to see it in an update
One of the few actually decent new troops I've seen here...
[QUOTE=AnthonyVince;4140192]"Having mastered the art of ancient lava magic, the Volcano Mage knows just how to make buildings take more damage, making it easier for his army to destroy the village!"
Summary
✔ The Volcano Mage is a ranged unit, capable of attacking both ground and air units. He causes splash damage like a Wizard.
✔ The Volcano Mage follows friendly units into battle, then attacks buildings to make them take a certain % more damage from friendly troops (except other Volcano Mages).
✔ He will attack whatever his pack is attacking, so he will only target Clan Castle troops if the group is attacking them too.
What kind of strategies this unit would enable
✔ Drop the Volcano Mage near the Barbarian King at the start of the attack, to make the whole attack easier.
✔ Place him near weak units to ensure they do much more damage before they are killed off.
✔ When paired with Giants, the Volcano Mage will ensure the Giants do more damage while the Giants absorb damage for the Volcano Mage.
✔ Place the Volcano Mage behind big groups of troops, as the damage boost is more effective when there are more troops.
Army compositions including this unit
✔ GiVoHealer (Giants + Volcano Mages + Healers + Cleanup troops) This edited version of the popular army Giant-Healer adds two or three Volcano Mages to the combination. This will ensure that the Giants can both be healed and do more damage at the same time, leading to a much more efficient attack. Dropping some Archers behind them will take care of the clean up.
✔ GoHoVo (Golems + Hog Riders + Volcano Mages + Clean up troops): While the Golems tank for the hogs, the Volcano Mage can stick to the Golems to ensure they do more damage and don't die as fast, giving the Hog Riders a much easier attack. Drop clean up troops behind.
✔ GiWiVo (Giants + Witches + Volcano Mages): One Volcano Mage can be placed behind a group of Giants to get rid of the defenses faster, and one behind the Witches so they can do more damage between attacks as they are also very weak units.
✔ VoBarch (Volcano Mages + Barbarians + Archers): A cheap and effective raid, the Volcano Mage can help the Barbarians and Archers do much more damage before they die from Mortars or Wizard Towers.
How to redo your base to protect from this unit
✔ Protect your splash defenses, as Volcano Mages predictably stick to groups and can be killed off easily by Multi-target Inferno Towers, Mortars, and Wizard Towers.
✔ Place holes in your base where Giant Bombs could be, to make the attacker choose more wisely on where to place his Volcano Mage. Giant Bombs are the single most dangerous defense against them.

That's it for now, guys! I hope you like this idea, as I have been working on this idea for over three months. Please give constructive feedback, and I'll see you around the forums!
