Whats the best troop in the clan castle?

1) Dragon, okay splash damage, flying, high health,
2) Balloons, high splash, flying, revenge
3) Wizards, high splash, range, okay health

Honorable mentions:
Golems have high health and reform if at least one mite survives.
Anything with high health if in range of overlapping fire.

We never put dragons for TH8s or TH7s. 25 Archers does more to a mass drag attack than one dragon.

I like mixing it up. For TH5s and TH6, we like putting wiz and valks, sometimes deathloons.

TH7 and TH8...wiz/arch combo (arch to wiz is 3:1 ratio). Archers scatter mass dragons all over the place if not lured. DPS wasted in different angles. Wiz for extra dps against a group of dragons.

TH9...been messing with putting lavahounds (30 space). Replays are funny. Sometimes the strategy is NOT to kill these because the pups seem to delay the troops longer.

Also like mixing in ground-only attacking troops (deathloons, barbs). For an all-air attack, death loons come out once Heros, hogs, or other troops not used to lure get in the radius.

Having minions in your CC as well as ground troops is advantageous because an attackers wizzies cannot aim at both air/ground at the same time.

Exactly. Not to mention Minions will eat alive Balloons (their splash damage aftermath does not affect flying troops), Hogs, Giants, Barbs, etc. They sometimes force Balloonion users to expend their own Minions to remove CC Minions.

You have Wall Breakers on that poll but not Minions...

Of the ones listed here, either dragons or wizards. Splash damage is the key, so Valkyries and Witches are also awesome.
(I've also tried using 3 giants, a healer and an archer; it works pretty well, especially because once the giants die the healer flies toward my heroes, drawing attacker even farther into my base.)

since when do golems reform?

Depends. Healers or + wizard works work well if you have your 2 heros close by. The healers will stay in the core and heal your heroes while the wizards deal damage

Offense for farming? wizard, witch

defense against farming armies? (5-10 arch, rest max wiz)

Offense for war? likely a max golem if you don't have them or max pekker

defense vs war armies? wizards, witch, valk, witch, loonz

generic answer: a max troop that fits your army
