I had dragons in my CC last night, it cleared Level5 barbs and archers.
Just wondering why this unit never appears.... its great on defense
Though I voted archer. Drags are awsome but have a prohibitive cost/time
Healer and 2 Valkyries.
They'll still be there in the morning.

Definitely wizards or dragons due to splash and high damage (high hp for drags too). If they can't be donated then archers do fine because you can fit a lot of them. Unless you have an attack strategy that needs a certain troop in the cc then wizards and drags are better.

Drags are good and have high health, but if u spread 20 archers out the drags splash damage wont work. If u have multiple wizards howerever they can target multiple troops and still do lots of damage.
Valkyries, wizards, dragon or maybe a witch are the best ones. There are so many possiblities with those, and you'll always end up with a painful combination for the attacker. My favourite one is dragon and valkyrie, try it and you'll love it...

I once asked this before and no response from a thread....how about LAVA HOUND granted you have 30units CC. Defending CC troop isn't it? Haven't tried it on clan war but this may take time for them to kill isn't it?
I would love my CC to be filled with a mix of the following:
-witches, minions, wizzies, archers
Having minions in your CC as well as ground troops is advantageous because an attackers wizzies cannot aim at both air/ground at the same time.
