First of all, I said "almost". I know it can be done, in the hands of a skilled attacker. Dropping 10 dragons in a corner plus spells (3x lightning, 3x rage, 3x heal, rage/heal) is a 2-star attack at best. It takes skill to 3-star a maxed TH8 with level 3 dragons, and I have no problem with 3-star strategies that take a lot of skill.

Second of all, I specifically pointed out the "good base layout" part. With a good base layout, the only way a TH8 can 3-star a maxed TH8 with a good base layout is with max loons or a level 4 dragon plus max loon in CC, and 3x rage. A good maxed TH8 base layout only needs 2 level 6 AD's to defend against dragons, so 3x lightning won't get the job done.

You are making it impossible to make any points against you with your word play and faulty logic. You have left yourself a free "out" on every example someone gives now by saying, "a good base layout" so any example I give of someone three starring a town hall 8 with dragons, you can fall back on saying, "well that wasn't a good layout". Someone please show me the undragonable town hall 8 layout, and I will show you how to three star it with all lvl 3 dragons. It's that simple

is it unbalanced yes but there is also nothing being done to help th 9s help defend again th 10s. Every update the th10s get harder to attack or they get stronger.

I'm sorry, I thought we were trying to balance the OP-ness of dragons. There isn't a single TH8 base layout that can't be 3-starred from air or ground by another TH8, given enough skill of the attacker. TH8 is pretty evenly matched up.

That said, I have yet to see someone 3-star a maxed TH8 with dragons, period. I'm not even talking about maxed TH8's with awesome anti-dragon layouts. I've gotten 2 stars many times, when others in my clan have gotten 1 or 0. We learn from each other's mistakes and try to improve the attack, but at the end of the day, it's damn hard. It's not as simple as "Take out an AD with 3x lightning and then drop 10+1 dragons for the 3 stars". It's hard.

At TH7, it's not hard. What do I mean by "not hard"? Well, drop 3x lightning, then have your cat step on your screen to deploy dragons. 3 stars. Every time. Not "usually". Not "most of the time". Every time. That's OP.

Dragons? I've seen sub-max TH8's take 3-4 attacks before we figured out the pathing, location of traps, timing and placement of spells, etc., before we got the 3rd star. So yeah, 3 stars can be done. And even though I've never seen it done against a maxed TH8 (by a TH8, and without the king, and without level 6 balloons in CC), I don't doubt that it can be done.

So yeah, I chose my words carefully, and I meant them in a very specific way. Wasn't trying to be tricky. Was trying to be accurate.

It's perfect the way it is and working as intended.
