"Cancel building cost"

Hello there.

Well, my request / idea is simple.
I've upgraded my town hall 8 to 9 by accident a month ago and didn't cancel it because it was to expensive.
Today, I've upgraded my laboratory (level 6) to 7 by mistake, as well, and lost all the elixir which I was collecting to upgrade my wizards.
So, basically, in order to avoid people to abuse it, you can put a limit, like 2 minutes, so we'll have some time to "think about it" or just cancel it.
So I'm kindly asking / suggesting to make it free.

One, the cancek feature has a penalty as one could simply "store loot" in an upgrade until they get the total required loot for the upgrade they want, then they cancel and get all the loot they need. This makes it easier for them to keep loot, Because the loot that they are "storing away" isn't available for another player when raiding them. This is unfair and it will cripple the economy as there will be less loot available to raid for.
Also with the walls, it was only put at lvl 9+ as it crippled the economy in the availablity of elixir for raiding.

And that's why you give a time limit to cancel it, like 2 minutes, so the person could regret or cancel it for free
And about the "elixir economy", it's only the player's responsibility for his own treasures

Ok, in my defence, that reason was not there when I first responded to the thread, but that could work, it will take some extra coding though, but now this cancel feature idea has no flaws I can see, just remove the wall option and this is a good thread

as Seuss stated, it can be used to hide loot...

but..... a time-factored cancel.....
hmmm....

it's possible, but I don't think SC would take the time to do this...

are you aware of the time bug?
SC is aware of it, and and it's quite an issue, SC can fix it, but....
the time it will take to fix it, outweighs the benefit of it getting fixed (it will take too long, very long, unless they're secretly working on it, or if they decide to move to a newer "dev program")

this idea you have is, more of a fail-safe, and it's not a big deal compared to the alleged time bug

why am I bringing it up?

these two, "time bug fix" and "2 minute grace period to refund 100% resource cost", are pretty similar (code wise)

Or at least if we cancel, we get like 3/4 or more of our storage back.
