As an apathetic farmer, I don't care about people raiding me and don't bother to watch most of them. I just collect collect and go farm farm.
Heh, thanks guys for the support. That is like what, 4 reports? XD Don't over do it on reporting or you'll make him want to be your 'friend' too :p
For the Trophy League Perks, what is the main goal of it? Trying to wrap my head around how people would react, and besides it being neat, I'm coming up short on a benift in player behavior change (not to say there possibly isn't).
Thanks ironagedave, haven't really categorized the kinds of raid feelings, but could be helpful later. Right now just needing general feel, since that what counts in long term player behavior.
This has been surprising. Either it is the kinds of people here, how I have worded the question, or my assumptions are off base, because I'm getting results I was not expecting. Not to say things failed, since these are results!! :D And useful results!
To make sure, thinking of making another poll later on in a week or two. Would be about defence (obviously), but on how things would be if the exposed town hall layout was somehow not an option. Want to make sure my results are not skewed by some factors.
But this is great, keep up the votes! Tell your friends! The larger the poll sample, the better and more accurate things will be. Just please tell them to read the full question on the first post.
Ha ha, you mist a report for your little display there.
I actually am interested in seeing the breakout. i liked the way you put in a lot of options so it could actually be turned into a graph later. But you are right, it need sample size to be valid.
So if I have any questions I will think of them later. Be sure to think long and hard on the responses, which I will consider thoughtfully for a while before asking any follow up questions.
The idea of the league perks isn't so much to change behavior, because the bump of 5% per league hardly justifies pushing 600 trophies to get all 3 perks. I mean, it'll have an effect on trophy level, but probably too small to measure.
The main reason is to make it easier for higher level TH's to hold onto loot. A TH9 risks losing 350k per raid if he's saving up for a big upgrade, but he probably is lucky to make a 250k profit on average, gold or elixir, between troops costs and Nexting costs. Thus, he risks losing ground after every raid if he logs out between raids to wait for an expensive army to build. In Crystal II, he'd be getting 20% bonus loot, so that 250k profit becomes 300k. And he'd be losing less loot, so that 350k becomes 275k. Now he can actually maintain ground, even if he doesn't get sniped. Every time he gets sniped between raids, he's making pure profit.
The league perks I suggested aren't meant to encourage people to move up leagues. They're to help the TH levels that naturally gravitate to those leagues. TH10's would get the most benefit, because on average they're in the highest leagues. TH9's would get the next-best benefits, etc. It's just another way to help higher TH levels save up for expensive upgrades, without having to rely on session farming. Even if it doesn't stop TH sniping, it would at least help people who don't want to babysit their devices between raids.
Edit: On a sidenote, it would slightly disincentivize high TH players dropping to ridiculously low leagues. Dropping 600 trophies means losing 5% perks, no big deal. But dropping 1800 trophies (like a strong TH9 farming in silver? ) means losing 15%.
wrong place to post this but interesting, i like to see if they fail =D.
I'm kind of an option you don't put. I like seeing how my base does, but I don't like it when I lose my loot.
seriously every time i get attacked i feel good, because it kinda gives me the feeling that i'm so important that somebody trained a whole army and used a lot of elixirs to raid my base.
feeling important:cool:
