How do you feel when raided?

Sorry, no suggestions on this thread. This is data gathering so I can make some better suggestions later. Please vote, and feel free to make comments on the experience. This could be a General forum topic, but I'm wanting info from here. If someone does do this in General, or elsewhere, please let me know! I want to see the results :D

On average, (based on the last raids during the last two months, if you need something precise) and ignoring any times being just Town Hall snipped, how did you feel when you were raided, regardless of the win or loss condition?

Comments in () are just examples of feelings to help with voting.

Polling for an average of something widely variable is silly.

Mostly it is meh.

Lost of lots of loot is disappointing.

Barely any loss of loot and a gain in trophies feels a little good. Empty though if it was a 1 second attack by a barbarian king.

You kinda summed it up right there, :p which is what I asked for.

And I have to start somewhere. That's how research is. You guess, set some parameters, and test.

I don't really care,its just a game anyways.
And 98% of attacks against me are failures...epic fails...and tragedies..for them.

Already getting some interesting results! :D Hope people keep voting, because this is really helpful. Wouldn't have called it seeing that many satisfed votes already.

I hope people read the whole question in the thread, since that is very important. Info on Town Hall snipes are not what I'm looking for, since that's not actually a 'raid' on one's base, but more like preventing future raids.

And back to the OP. It depends on the attack for me. If it's a town hall snipe, i thank the sniper in my head. If it's some higher level jerks that take all my precious loot, i murmur words i don't normally use under my breath. But then i realize I'm also a jerk for rading poor th6 bases. There are also some raids that fail, giving me something to share with my fellow clanmates for kicks.

So, there isn't one answer to your question.

I usually don't care that much, although it largely depends on how much they took at the time. If it's just before I wake up and they hit my collectors then I'm slightly more miffed than if they hit them just as I've logged off. If I'm stockpiling for a big upgrade and they hit me then I'm slightly more miffed about that than I would be if they hit me just after I'd spent it all on the upgrade.

Funny thing, already reported them :smirk: It was a delayed reaction, since I've stopped caring about what they say, but then I saw the 1 star vote (the only vote), likely by them, and didn't think much of it until I remembered that I reported them before because they did just that. So, yeah, obvious harassment. Mostly reported to point out how easy it is to troll with the rating system, than because of the pet troll's actions themselves.

Good news, I'm not looking for info on Town Hall snipes! Looking for feelings on when actually raided, with the real possibly of loot loss. The poll is to get a feel for defence in general, and a TH snipe kind of bypasses the actual defence side of things by blocking it completely.

I know how much things vary with being raided (I'm a very active TH8, how could I not?), which is why I put in the "last 2 months" detail, and I asked for "on average". I can't get any more detailed in my poll, since it would be a mess, and what I want is feelings in general.

I've been attacking this poor gameplay issue with defence for a while now (as some here know), but sorely lacking real usable feedback and data. I'm assuming a lot of things, which likely are correct to a large degree, but I want to make sure.

This is one of my assumptions is that defence utterly sucks. Because of repeated bad experiences with defence (up until end-game at late stage TH9 and TH10), you have people keeping the game logged on as long as possible with no offline openings while raiding, and using the exposed Town Hall layout to hide from punitive raids. That basicly tells me defence is a very bad experience, and highly counter to one's village growth, and in turn, fun. I see this as a root cause to several complaints people have, and if this gets addressed, so will the other issues be addressed indirectly!

Already made a shameless plug for it there before seeing your post (Poll in IFR forum: How do you feel when raided?), so already on the same page as you are. Gave if some thought, and felt like, 'why not, they count too!'

I'm sure the 'I hate it' numbers will go up. I'm betting there will be an overwhelming amount of hate for being raided, once votes pour in... if they pour in. :unsure:

I did have a 1-10 scale on it, but when I put it in, it was reverse order of the option numbers and looked awkward, and thought it would have numbers anyway... but didn't. :facepalm: Oh well.. I don't suppose I could edit it now...
