But if 15 of a possible 20 people in your neighbourhood lose first place by 50 points and the other five are not contributing, even though they online and playing HayDay, why should they get the rewards? There is no incentive to join the derby. A few players can carry the whole neighbourhood. I think there should at least be an XP incentive for each task completed.
thats the biggest flaw with the derby. It matches other hoods based on neighbourhood size, not on active/contributing players...I'd hate to kick players from the hood because they don't want to do the derby, but the system matches based on total size of neighbourhood, even though a few play the derby. A more effective strategy for SC to employ: a derby sign up(a day break between derbies) so it can match based on sign ups. Plus a day break between derbies will give us a chance to plan and stock tools/crops etc.
Definitely agree with your idea of a derby sign up and a break between derbies but its also necessary for us to check our competitor's info, it should show who is signed up for the derby for their NH in order to avoid complaints from NH that has 15 members competing against another 15 members (but have 20 total members) saying unfair and such.
I like the way the derby is set up and disagee with a sign up option.
The derby will be here for the long run so only at the moment are we all really into doing it. At the end of the day some of our players in our neighbourhoods will be active and some not. Just because we have a new activity in the game doesn't mean it should be an issue. We know who is able to do stuff and who isnt in our groups so can adjust based on that. I have three members who are young and at school and have parents who limit their time on the game. We don't hold that against them even if up against a more active neighbourhood.
This just adds a bit more management of tasks and co-operation between the group. If we as a group win prizes and a few could not participate then thats okay. Maybe they were able to give me TNT, or they could fill a crate. Every small task adds up and should still be rewarded as a whole.
