New Dark Troop: Infused Goblin Shielder

Hitpoints: 750
Sheild Hitpoints: 2500
damage per second: 70
movement speed: 16
Favorite target: resource collectors and storage (damage X2)
Target: ground
cost: 200 Dark elexier
housing space: 15
training time: 8 minutes

Introducing the first unit to Clash Of Clans with a shield!! This brute used to be a puny goblin but everyone forgot about him and never used him. He decided to take matters into his own hands by taking a leap of faith into the dark elixir tank. The result was a tank of a goblin 5 times the size of a regular one. He ripped the side of the dark barracks (he now calls home) off and charged into battle. The shield will soak up to 2500 points worth of damage, however it only protects the front of the Shielder. Any attacks hitting the exposed back half of the goblin affect the goblins 750 hitpoints. If the shield soaks up more than 2500 hit points, it will break, exposing the goblin behind.

Facts: -the wizard tower and the Mortor will hit the goblin Shielder for max damage on both the shield and the goblin.
- bomb traps will hit the goblin and shield for max damage. However, the goblin Shielder is too heavy for the spring trap to work on him unless he is without his shield.
- wizards, balloons, and dragons,all hit for max damage against both the Sheild and goblin.

upgrade stats:
level 2: hitpoints of shield now 2750
goblin hitpoints:825
damage per second:77
cost: 50000 dark elixir and 10 days to research.

level 3: hitpoints for shield: 3100
goblin hitpoints: 950
damage per second: 88
cost: 70000 dark elexier and 14 days to research.

If you're going to take a cheap shot at a post that somebody has put a lot of time and thought into, then you have to at Least make sure that your own post is grammatically correct.

This troop isn't for me, although the idea of a troop that has a weak side may be interesting.

I tried to create a troop that is balanced, yet still op enough to be applicable. And as for the spelling errors, last I checked yours had some too and I'm not a grammar teacher. If I got my point across, then it's fine.

seems a bit OP. Also, spring traps launch 15 spaces of troops, so your fat goblin is still at risk. Make his space 18. That would make it less OP, as 18 is a larger and more awkward number to work with.

The forward only shield is an interesting idea.

So the shield won't shield from splash damage, OK. But the shield should shield from the valkyrie. If a shield doesn't help with an axe attack...

Agreed. I'm fine with other forms of splash damage getting through (wizard magic, dragon fire, bomb blasts). But defending against the axe seems like a no brainer.

Anyway, since these things will target resources, they will most likely walk right past a defending valkyrie. So the valkyrie's first attack might only hit the shield, but the rest of her attacks will probably hit the goblin from behind.

I thank you very much for the Input guys it means a lot. The reason I decided it shouldn't be able to defend a Valkyrie is because of the long sweeping swing she has. However, your logic is persuasive so I will change it. Also, I think that I will address the spring trap idea with this: if the goblin still has the Sheild, he will be to heavy, but if not, he will activate the trap, throwing him. If more people think the troop cost should be tweaked, I will change it.

I guess the whole point of this troop is to bring back what's really important in raiding, the reasorces. You don't raid a village for the fun of it (except low level ones because it's fun) but for gold and elixir. People don't use goblins anymore so I wanted something that can still get reasorces and yet be powerful enough to use in high level raids.

id assume that you would have to adjust the hitbox to where if it takes damage in the front it will take it from the shield and if it takes damage from the back it would take it from the goblin. Nowadays, troops have to be a little OP to combat the tough villages. The fact that the shield on protects the front of the goblin de Ops it a little.

bullpucky. I left that poll open for a week. If ur so concerned with me bumping what I think is a good idea then u tell me what's wrong with it because u failed to do so. Don't take cheep shots at a good idea.
