Schmoo check my stalls again please:) loading a couple of plain popcorn:)
I'm with P1nky on this, every time you need something, it completely disappears from the DD, and how do the little people always know that you've either got none of it, or loads, and you're not going to sell it because you want it for a boat order!
I think 'Big Supercell Brother is watching us'. Could I find bread yesterday, not a crumb!
Hey Debu :) boat is in 1hr 50, Swiss I'll head to yer stall now - hope there's no more muffins for me to buy lol...thanks both, I'll be drowning in popcorn now hehe...and lets sneak away from this thread now...I feel like I unintentionally hijacked it for my own nefarious purposes!
The first thing I do when a boat arrives is open any crates for help on the items that I do not have the ability to make. I do not have all the machines yet so I immediately open those crates. The sooner the better. Why would I wait. Chill out. There are good reasons some crates are opened immediately while I wait for mfg time on my other items.
Waiting 4 hours for a boat just to send it off and wait another 4 hours? Really? I rather stockpile what it shows will be needed and fill the boat..I really do not understand this movement of refusing boats..
i have max sugar and dairy so over night i can make 9 of something and of course tom gets me 9 items 3 times ( if planned right) before my boat arrives
why demanding we send them away? Really i am honestly perplexed by this demand.
If you can keep up with the demand and are happy to fill the sugar/dairy crates then there's no reason to send off your boat - play the way you wanna play. But I refuse to waste raw product like sugar/cream etc in the boat, and I won't ask neighbours to fill them either so I cast off those boats and wait for the next. What works for you doesn't work for me and vice versa.
Some people will fill all the easy crates and leave 3 sugar crates open for neighbours, I don't ask for sugar so I won't fill sugar either - those neighbours often sit with their sugar crates unfilled until the boat leaves - thus they may as well have cast off that initial boat and waited for a more fillable one, many don't realise that they can even cast off a boat unfilled..and that's why you see people calling for others to just cast off a sugar/dairy boat that they can't fill themselves. In a situation like this it's actually more efficient just to ditch the boat and see what the next one wants.
I can understand everything you said but some are just demanding others not even accept those boats.
Presently i am waiting for 4 more b sugar to send off my boat. I have filled everything myself..i could send tom but seems my neighbors like the jewelry he brings ( as i sell it all day long).
thank you for your honest and very explanatory responses.

So you don't even leave a few easy crates open for neighbours to fill? You fill everything yourself if you have the product? I have some neighbours who do that and it's kinda admirable but tbh I'd prefer it if they did leave 3 crates open for others to fill (non sugar/dairy naturally ;)), it would mean that they have spare product to help others and that neighbours can score wheel points/thank you notes by helping.....oh, and ofc there's the social satisfaction that comes from simply helping out a neighbour hehe
But again it's not down to anyone else to tell you how to play, do your own thing and have fun doing it 'coz that's what a game is all about :)
sorry, maybe I sounded a bit harsh, but I was not 'demanding' anything actually. I have said I prefer to help any all all crates which does not ask for cream and sugar and I hope my friends will prefer for me to flag non sugar and cream crates for help.
If you can fill the boat yourself then no problem! It doesn't affect me or others. I think people are more 'irked' by neighbours who ask for help consistently on sugar and cream. That's all.
Like Schmoo said.
