Trophy push!

On june 1 my clan is going on a trophy hunt, every player needs at least 2000 trophies by the end of it. Whats the best way to get up to 2000 trophies? Can i use level 5 barbarians and archers and get 1 star every match or should i use heavy troops such as dragons and pekkas to totally wipe out bases? Please help me figure it out, the trophy hunt starts soon and i dont know how im going to charge at it. Along with the push, everyone needs to protect their town halls. Im a farmer so my hall has always been exposed. Someone please post a good town hall 8 design below that will help conserve trophies AND protect resources. Thanks. Here is my base at the moment.

Barb/arch should be enough to get you to 2k fairly easily.

My clanmates tell me using that strategy wont help. I believe i can use it but since theyre all adults im beginning to doubt myself. I know its possible but theyre telling me i should seriously use heavier troops for the push. I just dont want to spend so much elixir on troops, neither do i want to wait an hour to attack!

It works. I just used it for DTP clan push. It took three days to get from 1100-2100. Just attack only the 30+ bases and Zerg the TH. pick off outside buildings for 50%.

They are wrong then. Not only is it not impossible, it isn't hard. Just go around sniping THs and/or get 50% from the perimeter of their bases. Remember, there are people who farm above 2000 trophies. Unless you are using heavy troops for fun, you really don't need them until well over 2k.

Even all archers will work fine u can get to 2000 trophys attacking th7s should b easy

Yeah swirling archers around th7's can get you to like 1800.:p

Yeah use barb arch until 2000. Then you'll need to use more complex and expensive units, like giants (wizards and PEKKA not yet needed). I have a few clips on my Youtube channel of me using giant arch barb WB for trophy hunting.

As for trophy hunting layouts, try Will from PHIL DREAM TEAM's layout.

Ok thanks everyone, im happy to know that i wasnt wrong. Ill start the trophy hunt right away then ill tell you guys how im doing.ill also tell my clanmates that its possible, lol.

I did a push at the end of my TH7. lvl 4 (farming) troops got me to 1650 or so pretty easily, so I imagine the lvl 5 troops can get you to the 2ks.

some tips

Def.
Make sure ALL of your Defenses are maxed if you are serious. it will help so much more. TH is now most important 'resource' or structure if you will. protect it like you protected your farmed gold! Re-design is necessary, place TH in the Center or close to.. protect well. use storages to tank for the TH. a properly set up base will protect your Trophies and some resource too. but they can have the resource... you want to protect that TH. and thus trophies.

If it starts soon, then start now. you'll be a head of the game, and can use this time to start making a plan and seeking out bases that suit your style of attacking. you really only need enough resource to go into battle, Troops and Spells.. you are playing to win now don't lose sight of that. Win 50% or the TH, resource be damned!! (if you get some cool, but you want to WIN sonn. do not compromise a win for loot!) Losses will hurt as you will lose precious trophies, so plan well.

I started using Dragons (lvl2) toward the end of my push, but if you make them, you don't need to go all out Dragon. 2-3 per raid was good. backed with Archers and Giants, or Barbs. (1 Barrack to make a few Giants and rest Archers; 3 barracks staggered to make dragons, got one every 10-15 min, by then I had some Archers and could raid; plus now at least, TH8 has 2Dark Barracks to supplement.. be aware of extra A/Defs now though.) also, ask clansmen to get u some good CC troops to help with the plan. like Giants would help tank for your Barb/Arch combo. then you only need to make a few but can release like 5-10 on a base every 20 min. depending on how many you make for yourself.

Go for the TH. its guaranteed win. if its buried deep, WB and a Rage spell maybe BK too.
Otherwise work for areas with the most buildings, but the fewest defenses. or easily disabled defenses. (exposed or in archer range)

if you want reso, make some Gobs/minions to finish up after the proper defenses are down. but get the win at all costs.

Make adjustments and you should be ok.

Copied from another similar thread.

In our recent push i got just over 2000 before I had to go with high level troops.

Dragons with three lightning was pretty good but you had to search for bases with only three AD or upgrading AD to ensure victory. As I went higher in trophies these were harder to find. If you have upgraded minions and a good amount of DE another option I used is 4 lvl 3 drags & 60 lvl 4 minions. Similar to all dragon but has advantages due to speed and number of minions.

The most successful combo I used was a lvl 1 golem, 3 lvl 3 pekka, 19 lvl 5 wizard, 9 WBs, & archer. Bring along your BK and this will do damage. Have lightning for CC troops and 2 rage ready if needed to take down TH.

Look for lvl 1 x-bows or bases that have one upgrading. Avoid lvl 3 x-bows as TH8.
