So what you want to do is to snipe up some quick bonus and exp points, then quickly surrender and get a new opponent so you can get more real fast? I can understand why you might like that. You could exploit this all day to make tons of bonus loot and exp points in a hurry. And even if yu wanted to fight other guys it would give you a defacto next button so move through opponents until you found one to your liking.
No, I did not notice that. Yes, larger clans can hand-pick a select group of their members, which could give them something of an advantage, but the algorithm is still the same--you're still getting matching against opponents that have the same relative strength as you. Could the algorithm perhaps be tweaked and tightened a bit? Definitely. But there's a lot of room for abuse with a blanket surrender. There's also another thread discussing this more fully, and what would have do be done to minimize the abuse.
the only reason I see for a surrender button is to end the war early and start another one immediately, bypassing the whole 2 day ordeal. I don't think this will happen. Sounds like an exploitable feature.
I played a clan where number 5's base spelled out "I'm Give Up" with their walls.
For this to work, it can't just be a blanket surrender. There have to be numerous terms/penalties, the most obvious of which I think needs to be that the Opposing clan MUST accept your surrender.
The same as a real war, just because you offer to surrender does not mean the enemy clan has to accept your surrender. Otherwise you are depriving the other clan of its ability to attack for XP and loot, and wasting their time (How would you feel if you fill castles and prep for a full day only to have the other clan surrender before the battles start? Not to mention it might screw up your whole war schedule...many clans always war the same days/times for a reason).
There might also need to be a cooldown period. And would you lose some of the XP/loot you gained if you surrender mid-war? (The only time I really see this working is if one or both clans finish all or almost all their battles with some time left in the war. Then it makes sense for one clan to surrender and the other to accept, gaining a few hours on starting their next war.)
I admit that helps a lot. It wold be a good enhancement to the suggestion.
There should also be something to stop guys from simply using it as a defacto next button and a free one at that. Since you did s well on your suggestion to the first issue I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this one too.
