Some of my friends have been able to visit my stand though and buy unadvertised items (It is my habit to leave unadvertised items in my RSS specifically for my friends.). so it seems like not everyone is having this problem?

Hope it gets fixed soon!

Forgot to to say that I was able to install the update without any problem. The friend bar bug came about after the update.

When I logged in to the game today my friend bar froze again. I decided to try what a few others had said and instead of leaving the game I waited. In less than 2 minutes the friend bar released and started working properly again. So, it isn't perfect but at least it will work eventually. Hope this helps a few of you - I'm not sure it will work for everyone.

Happens to me as well. My farm on iPad mini freezes. I rebooted and then it worked fine, but when I went back later, it froze again.

the farm on my iPhone 5 acts like it wants to freeze, but then the after a split second the friend bar pops up, so it hasn't actually frozen on my phone yet.

Freezing

Two players in our household.

In one, Friends bar doesn't work at all. It freezes the game and must reset. Ipad

On ipad2 it works, but very slowly.

It has been 18 hrs since I first posted this bug and the problem still remains. I can neither help friends fill boats, water or trade. Can you PLEASE fix it as soon as possible?

I have this issue too.
Restarting my ipad helped a few times but that isn't really a long term solution.

This worked for me too, thank you. It still happens anytime I reload the game so it is kind of bugged, but the friends bar is totally accessible if you wait about a minute after it freezes.

I waited 15 minutes and it didn't resolve. So not a solution for everyone.
