I was thinking that instead of using 1 builder for a building, you can use as many builders as you have. For example, Town Hall 4 upgrading to 5 takes 2 days. If you used 2 of your builders, you could cut that time down to 1 day. And it would cost a small amount of gold (depending on the number you have) to "hire" more than one.
