The big question...should I upgrade to TH10 and when?

Hi fellow clashers,

I am in front of a big dilemma...as many of you :)

I am currently at lvl 109 TH9, all defenses are maxed, every single building ( well, except the last level for the collectors since the last update but I am working on them ) Also I have several bombs and traps but they will be ready in no time.

As for the army, I will get my Valkiyre to max level 4 in 4 days and I will have to upgrade only the Jump spell and the Healer - so once again two weeks and voala :)

AQ almost LVL 9, BK - LVL10

So my plan is to get them to at least lvl 20 both.
Now here comes the dilemma :) My walls... at this point I have 244 legos and 6 lavas.
Until this moment I have maxed every single thing at any lower TH but now I am not sure that I wanna stay 2-3- months with builders sitting around just for those walls. On other hand they look beautiful, lvl 10 walls I mean, they are gorgeous... When I have time I play a lot and I am able to get maybe 2 or 4 lvl 11 walls per day, but sometimes I got 9 due to lack of time. It will be almost impossible to farm in the 1700-1900 and get the needed DE for the heroes and the needed 3 millions per block for the walls. So I am really stuck guys and I need your professional help.

Should I try to play 2-3 months only for the walls?
Should I try to play 2-3 months only for the heroes? I have 11k gems for the upgrading times of the heroes ( NEVER FOR THE RESOURCES) so I will be able to get them from 10 to 20 in a month if a i have the DE.
And when should I go to TH10? Also I am not able to increase my level at this point, yes I am making 4-5k donations per season but my looting army is barch so often I am far away of those TH that can give me some XP.

planning to max your th 10 base? do walls at th9 (loot is worse higher so yah....)

I would take screen sots without that "X" it indicates you mod from what i heard;)

For example:

How many loot can I get for 2 hours playing at TH10 ?
I want to max TH10 yes, but you think I will not be able to do it if I don't max my lvl 10 walls on th 9 ?
My original plan was to to max every defense on th 10 and then go for the level 10 and 11 walls.

I faced the same dilemma and this is what I decided to do:

I would focus on DE in say, masters or high crystal (with the master badge), and throw whatever gold/lix you make into walls until you have your heroes closer to 20 each.

If your target is specifically level 20 heroes, then you can slow down on the DE as you approach those levels and then focus almost exclusively on gold/elixir for the walls, while pocketing the DE for the remaining upgrades. I found G3-2 to be excellent for gold/lix at those "sweet spot" times when dead bases and loot-bloated TH8s start showing up at a rather high frequency. Don't be afraid to unleash your leveled heroes upon storages!

Generally speaking, level 20 heroes (each) and all legos is the recommended minimum for TH10, so you're already good to go on half the checklist ;)

Heroes are so much stronger than pitiful walls... Move to th10 farm heroes. Max those. Max th10 defences. Max walls.

Work on the heroes for more offensive power!

Nothing magical happens when you do.
Loot doesn't suddenly disappear.

If you are bored at TH9 go for it. And why grind out walls with builders doing nothing.

And I have a feeling most of the people replying are not TH10, so have no actual experience on the subject.

It's a game. Nothing life changing. 👍

The majority of th's in the game are th8's... By going to th10 you can forget 250/250k raids against th8's... So yeah there is a more than noticeable difference between th9 and th10.

That's why you stop barching in gold 2 for collectors, go up to masters with bigger armies, take those overflowing storages and enjoy your big 100k + bonuses.

Upgrade your TH and play in Master league. I just reached TH10 3+ weeks ago. I have no problem keeping my builders busy. I'm raiding with loonion at Master II. The bonus is really great here.

Inferno towers almost lv3 and camps almost done.

Do whatever makes you enjoy the game the most. For me it's all about offence so I would move up.
That being said you should have higher level Hero and upgraded them alongside buildings

Get your Heros to at least 15 and start upgrade for TH10. Maxing your walls at Th9 is easier but pointless when every Th10 won't even need to touch your walls to 2 star you.

I´ve decided to try to upgrade my heroes to level 20 both and during that process to update the walls. When my heroes are both at level 20 I will start the TH10 upgrade.

So far I am trying to farm DE with giants, barbs, archs and goblins + one heal and one jump spell.
Do you know a faster and better way without DE troops? Thanks again.

I had max lab and defenses, 20/20 heroes, and all Legos when I went up. Glad I got my heroes to 20, makes farming off of th9's much easier. I would at least get ur heroes to 15-20

Your heroes are really low level at the moment.
IMO sleeping builder is not a big loss. struggling finding loot in TH10 is a bigger problem. If you regularly farm other TH9 and TH10 now with ease you can go to TH10.

Also If you want lvl11 walls and lvl40 heroes IMO you can find gold/elixir easier in TH9.

Just focus on DE. personally I will attack any 1500+ DE even when the gold and elixir are zero.

Why'd you block out your clan? Don't you want to promote it?

When I get to that point, I'd go for the heroes until 20/25 maybe. Do walls while going for those. Been farming skulls and mostly TH8 defenses... I have a while to go until there.

Heroes are easier at TH10 because of the drill though.

Do it now. You're as ready as you're ever gonna be.

BORED OF TH9.

Its funny how you say loot at 10 is bad, but you are th9. How would you know ... You have no hands on experience on the matter ... You are just repeating what someone is repeating about something he heard.

I was in pretty much the same situation as you - maxed d, heroes at 12, full legos and 10 lavas. I hit the button when I maxed the lab, and I've been a th10 for 12 days now. Although I don't really think that I had much of a choice, I really dislike th10 so far. Loot is horrible, IMHO - I try to next through seemingly endless seas of sub 50k bases, and then typically wind up raiding for just the win bonus.

If you want Lava's, I'd stay at th9 and finish them there - I can't see getting them done @ 10. If Lavas aren't important to you, I guess I'd go to 10, but I give that recommendation very reluctantly. GL with whatever you decide...

Go for heroes 30/30

I am raiding 30+k dark per day and I will be able to get my heroes to level 20 both in no more then 45 days ( using my gems to speed up the process )
The problem is during these raids I do not get enough resources to continue on my walls.
Maybe I will get them 15 level both, then farm for walls for a while, then get them to level 20 and go for the TH 10.

I cannot believe the loot in th10 is that horrible. I am playing in Gold 1 and I am finding 250k+ collector raids regularly. In the worst case scenario if i was th 10 these raids would've been at least 160+ k so maybe the problem is the leagues you are using. I'v heard of people trying master league with barch for the bonus...
My lab upgrades will be ready in 7 days, only the Healer left.
But maybe my decision is : both heroes level 20 + lavas for the inner core and go go th 10.
