If your sole purpose is to get easy matches in war and not challenge yourself, then sure. I prefer having a strong base AND strong offense and getting tough wars, it only makes you better.

I assume u have no experience in fighting a imbalanced war, Having no defenses basically dont benefit ur clan so many wars where ppl have posted pictures of fully imbalanced wars and im sure they had low defenses haha. Its true sometimes the imbalance is in ur favor too but im sure ud have those imbalances in ur favor even if u Did up defense.

A good defense will only save you 3 stars. But a good offense will gain you 6

A good defense might save you more than 3 stars, if you have the good fortune to have a base which looks much easier to attack than it actually is. I have an oddball base which apparently doesn't look like it should be that difficult to swarm with dragons, but whenever we have an opponent that does lots of dragon attacks, several attacks are wasted trying to get more than 1 star on my base, and those are attacks which would certainly have gotten more stars on our other bases. Not all attacks are created equal, and causing their stronger attackers to waste attacks is much more valuable than tricking the guys at the other end of the roster.

Some people here are hilarious, and clearly haven't did war too long and/or faced tough opponents. I see all this talk of 3 star, I hate to break the news to you th9 guys, you ARE NOT going to 3 star a well set up maxed th9 all the time. I dont give a damn how good your troops are, some bases just cant be 3 starred, luck comes into play more so then not on many that are set up well if you happen to 3 star..

couldn't agree more. last war our enemy spent 4 attacks vs my mini mid-th8. one of which was their #2 Th9. They failed to get more than 1 star. Those 3 wasted attacks could've gone vs someone else. We won by 4 stars.
