Loot isn't bad... Obtaining it is.

Ain't that the truth, it feels disgusting blowing a good army on a base which an easier army could take care of.

I try to be somewhat flexible by using a Gi-Barch variant. Still keeps the train time down, while increasing the elixir cost a little. I'm taking a gamble that the higher elixir cost for Giants will be offset by saving gold from nexting less.

But at the end of the day the game is forever flawed in that collector loot is king, there have been modest league boosts over time to somewhat alleviate the problem. But more needs to be done to rely on dead bases less. Unless SuperCell want the game to be like a slot machine all the time.

It only makes sense that investing more time and resources into building your army should give you a higher return. Instead waiting a mere 20 minutes for a cheap barch army seems to be the most profitable way to play. Maybe this idea would fix that. The game will also be less of a grind.

My gold grabs 975 million so i'm not saying theres a loot problem because there isn't. The idea that spending less on your army gives you a better return isnt something I entirely agree with.

I agree. Training a better army should give you more loot. If you're willing to wait for an hour army, it should be similarly profitable. That isn't possible with how the loot system is setup. I do like your idea though and will include it in my post. :)

As mentioned in the post though. I'm not saying loot is bad. I'm saying obtaining it is bad. Its a grind. It makes the game far less fun when you know you have to train a cheap army to profit the greatest... all while skipping more than anything else. There's no strategy in BArch.. It takes no skill, yet it is by far the best way to gain loot.

What sort of net loot are you making per hour?

FWIW, right now I'm not super picky about loot because I recently super rushed to TH9 so it's easy to get the small amount of loot to keep my builders working.

Loot is good IMO.

Any farmer should calculate gold/elixir/DE per hour no boost.
It is obvious that you can farm more loot with more playing hours and boost.

I can farm 1M gold 1M elixir and 2.5K DE per hour no boost using BAM in crystal 3.
Usually I should next 50 times to find a good base.

I wouldn't say 200 attacks per season is a lot. My clan has thst as a requirement, I can do 200 a season when slacking. People just need to learn how to do storage raids or maybe try new attack strategies if you can't. I do storage raids with barch and make good loot per day.

Inactive/abandoned bases are what is injecting resources into the game. You know where some or most of that loot comes from if you storage raid someone? That's right, inactive bases. Unless you are in Crystal III or higher, and using a cheap army for the attack bonus win to pay for the army used, the source of the loot is from other people's mines, collectors, and drills. And since inactive bases are not spending thier loot, they add to the system, where as everyone else uses more resources than they generate.

It is just logical. If everyone needs to raid to keep up with the demand on keeping Builders constantly busy, unable to generate enough loot on thier own, they need to raid. So every active person will consume more than they can make themselves, and need to prey on others. If there were no inactive bases (inactive for a short while, or abandoned forever) to pay for the demand others have, we will have a sudden loot shortage.

So just because someone hunts for these bases directly, and not do storage raids, means they want to operate as efficient as possible. Then when they have 'too much', someone willing to spend the resources on storage raids will raid them. But ultimately, it is the inactive bases that are the bottom of the food chain, and discounting thier importance is just unwise.
