I am finding it hard to gather gold and elixir since hitting level 9 TH have I gone too early or am I doing something wrong??
I have lvl 5 archers + giants
Lvl 2 dragons
Pekkas
185 troop capacity
And a defence that holds off low level attackers,
But just can't get gold or elixir to keep building

You need to focus on your offense, the reason why you're having difficulty in raiding is your limited army, as much as possible max your camps so you could have 220 troops at your disposal, so far based on your description your troops ar notthat far off respectability, you need tolog heavy hours in raiding and looting for elixir so you could invest on your camps, and if lucky, ypu could save enough for some troop upgradesQuote:

Dont give up! Solutions, upgrade your troops archers/barbs/giants use them to farm, or use goblins. second the best loot is during the night hours USA time, because majority players are from USA, if your not find that time frame to farm, good ranges right now for me are from 1400-1700 and with better troops you can use less of them and farm more frequently. this, to the OP try observing the abundance of loot depending on the time patterns, in my time zone, loot is usually good aroung 11am to 5pm after that there is a drought, you have to log heavy hours for you to acquire all the elixir needed to upgrade your offense, nevertheless, youre not on a deep hole, you could still get put of that quandryQuote:

Post your base. If you don't know how to post your base, post your clan name and in game name so we can see your base. There are degrees of prematurity and it's hard to know how bad it might be without more information.

You should still be TH7... So yes you are premature TH9. Priority should be army camps then units, as others have said.

Yeah, you're about thirty levels premature. Focus on getting your army camps and splash defenses up. And move your town hall out of the center of the base, there is no reason to protect it. But, most importantly, raid frequently. If you want to advance, you can either pay a lot, or play a lot.

It's not that bad... Wizards need work for sure.
You got your units upgraded, which will "save" you from almost any kind of town messup :) If you can bring the loot home, it's possible to get back in the game. First remember: (sorry SC) Trophies means squat, they are absolutely useless, dump them on easy raids and get some back on bigger raids. Your best defence for getting looted is to have no loot to steal. TH outside for the cheap shield, CC to middle and (if not already) find a clan that donates you archers/wizards for defence.
You're definitely premature. The good news is that you stopped at TH9. With th10 opening up it's going to take the pressure off a bit. Drop to around 1200 cups to begin with. I only see archers in your barracks, but I'd make sure your goblins are max level, and I'd get in the habit of doing goblin raids on collectors. A meat shield is also very helpful. I'd work barbarians or giants into your armies also. Offense should be your top priority right now so max your camps.
And buy the last builder. You spent the cash on gems. Spend it now where it can really help you with the last builder.
This isn't a great situation but do I think it's salvageable with some hard work given that you stopped at TH9.
Read the stickied thread I wrote in the tactics forum if you haven't already for more information on digging yourself out of this hole.

I dont think you are in such a bad shape. I suggets you forget about trophys for a while and make a farming base. Spread your resources, leave your TH outside and tighten up the base. Hit villages with lots of archers/barbs/goblins/wall breakers and go for the loot, not the 50% or 1 star, which should mean next to nothing to you while farming.
Also, drop your trophy count a bit, hit the 1200 section and try to farm, spend time searching (NEXT BUTTON) bases that have accessible loot or lots of stuff in the mines/pumps.
You should be good.

185 troops is not good for town hall 9. Even tho when im farming thats all I use.
i have a little different advice. Leave your town hall protected inside. That way you get some decent replays of people actually trying to raid you. Focus on offense. Army camps and lab. Your defense should be a reflection of how awesome your army is. Spend money on builder, yes, but if you really want an easy time, spend money on troop upgrades.:cool:Quote:

to the OP: just keep it up, I too was a premature th9er, upgraded my base last December with poor defense and lvl 5 camps back in December, rage quit a couple of times due to the difficulty in looting, but eventually I logged heavy hours to loot, after 4 months I was able to salvage my base and was able to max my basic troops (archers, barbarians, giants, wallbreakers, goblins,) and high end troops (dragon, wiz, healers) last month...
the lesson: for you to get things around you have to spend more than 8 hours a day to gather the necessary respurces to updgrade your base,.....

So after everyones advice about maxing my camps and troops because i was a premature TH9, i stuck to it
put in plenty of hours and can now see the end of TH9 :) (apart from walls :s)
this is just to show that premature can be turned around with a little hard work :)

Completely forget about trophies. You will find yourself moving from silver to crystal chasing the best spot to find loot and abandoned bases. Use the bam army and attack inactive bases with full collectors. Do your best to one star the bases but only attack collectors and easy outer wall storages. Youll get past this but it will take time.Quote:
