L1 King beats L2 King?

Anyone else seen this? In a war, I dropped my L2 BK right next to the opponent's L1 King. There were no other defensive structures nearby, nothing else was involved. This was a simple one on one streetfight between kings. The two of them even started on each other at the same time, neither one got in the first hit. The L1 king beat my L2 king, and the L1 even still had life left on his status bar.

How is this possible?

Although it may seem like the defending king didn't get the first hit, the defending hero will always get the first hit in because it takes a microsecond for your hero to redirect its target on to the defending hero. A lvl 1 and Lvl 2 hero have virtually the same health so lvl would not matter

I appreciate the attempt, but I'm still confused. The math says:

L1 does 144 damage per strike
L2 does 146.4 dps


L1 has 1700 hp
L2 has 1742 hp


1742/144 = 12.10 strikes for L1 to take down L2, or because 12.1 is impossible, it takes 13.
1700/146.4 = 11.61 strikes for L2 to take down L1. Or because 11.6 is impossible, it takes 12.


They struck each other 13 times.

I still don't know why the L1 didn't go down even after 13 strikes when the math says it takes 12. Even after 13, the L1 was still alive. The L2 should be dead after 13, but the L1 should have been dead after 12 and not gotten the 13th in. Something's wrong.

Apparently defending heroes are more powerful than attacking ones and whatnot.

Maybe that is true but it is not documented. Nowhere on the BK page does it say that a defending king has more power than normal.

Im guessing your king took a hit from a defense that you didn't notice maybe?

you should've activated his rage anyways if he had a sliver of health left

Level 2 king's rage is even better. Level 2 kings have Jump and Freeze spells too. They shoot it out of their eyes.
