Switch Dragons and PEKKAs in the barracks

Max th7s don't need to 2-3 star early/mid th8s. They might be able to do it with a GiWiPe, but th7s' offense shouldn't be almost the same as th8s' offense. Early th8s, like all other early town halls, will have to upgrade for a while before they gain the ability to attack their own town hall, upon which they will get dragons.

So . . . Since dragons are only useful against TH7 and early to mid TH8, then are useless . . . it is your proposal to have them not even be available until TH8. Why have dragons at all if they are only useful for half of one TH level of the game?

Like Axion said. 10 giant lizards raining fire down from the sky SHOULD be able to destroy a town that is only just learning how to build air defense. That makes sense. It is also self punitive in that it costs more to make those dragons in elixir and time than you will ever get back. It is a dedication to winning by overspending.

in my opinion if you make pekkas available you'll get more people using giwipe and getting the easy three star. that's my opinion but dragons are fine where they are. like my fellow forumers stated it doesn't last forever and eventually drags become ineffective.

It would be great if the clan war matchmaking doesnt consider max TH7s and early TH8s as almost the same. This happened to me and my clanmates quite often in the past. Max TH7s would become dead weight for their clans. IMO a max TH7 should be able to 2star an early TH8 the same way a max TH8 can 2star an early TH9 with gowipe. GiWiPe may not be as effective with all the new defenses acquired at TH8.

An idea Ive seen mentioned here quite a bit is to nerf level 1 dragons and buff level 4. I think that would be a better idea.

Actually, the reverse is true. Dragons are used to get the easy three star, and GiWiPe will actually be an attack that takes skill. As I put in an edit in my OP, a level 1 PEKKA nerf may have to come with this idea.

You have a good point about dragons not being used very much, but it is certainly better for them to have limited use instead of their being able to 3-star anyone at a certain level of play.

Just because it is expensive doesn't mean that its power should be out of control. Clan Wars are about skill, not about the highest bidder.

A skilled th7 attacker may be able to 2 star an early th8 with GiWiPe and something good in the clan castle.

If level 1 and 2 drags are nerfed, it would have to be by a significant amount - 40% or more is my rough estimate. It could be a solution, but there will be a bigger gap between th7 and th8.
