Switch Dragons and PEKKAs in the barracks

I guess my main concern with this suggestion is that they wouldnt be able to 3 star at all, leaving them as deadweight to a clan. This concern grows primarily from the fact that i never personally 3 starred a respectable (not maxed) th7, nor have any of my clanmates. Basically, id rather take the lesser of two evils, since at least this way they are forced to learn basic funneling. Its an even playing field, since all th7's can use this strategy, and with the short duration at this town hall I dont see much use in making it potentially crippled in clan wars.

This may not be such a bad idea.. But lvl2 pekka upgrade should be available in th7 then. Because otherwise the troop that's unlocked at th7 can't 3 star a th7 with 2 lvk3 Tesla pekka will die quick without golems.

Because dragon had a Lvl upgrade in th7. Now there will be too many th8 lab upgrade if pekka upgrade is still all in th8. So lvl2 pekka in th7 and th8 drag won't be a bad choice I guess.

But this idea isn't bad. Because drag lightning at th7 surely has no way to defend a mass 11 drag or dragoon

I disagree; I think that because th7s can only get their teslas to level 3, PEKKAs should stay at level 1. A level 6 tesla, max for th8, takes out a level 3 PEKKA in 23.3 seconds; a level 3 tesla takes out a level 1 PEKKA in 29.2 seconds. Increasing the available PEKKA level will widen the discrepancy.

Then it won't be balanced. The lab time at th7 is shortened by 8 days due to drag being pushed to th8 and th8 lab upgrades are already too long compared to time it takes to upgrade all rest of things. Besides th7 doesn't have luxury of golem's. So lvl2 pekka won't hurt. There won't be anything viable option to get 3 star on max th7 otherwise. The troop that's unlocked in that th should be able to do that. You unlock healer and heal spell at th6 which is what gets you 3 star. Healer for giants and heal on loon.

Th7 currently drag. Th8 max pekka with max golem can 3 star max th8. Th9 hounds and loons or golem witch. Basically what I'm trying to say is level 1 pekka without a proper tank won't be viable option and lab upgrade times will be flawed if you push too many update on th8

Th7s can use giants to tank for PEKKAs. Because of the lack of TH7 defenses, GiWiPe, if executed correctly, may be able to pull off a 3 star. Balloonion might or might not be able to 3 star.

And besides, there's no rule that the troop you unlock should be included in a 3 star army. Hogs are unlocked at TH7, yet they are used to 3 star at TH8 and 9.

I don't remember having lab time problems at TH8, but TH9 lab times are definetely too short. 8 days off of TH7 won't have that big of an impact on gameplay.

The max you can upgrade your air defense at th7 is to level 5. Will that be enough to counter dragons?

Mass drags is a strong strategy at th7 and th8. But at th9 it doesn't work very well.. Also, drags are very costly to train which should prevent people from using 11 drags.

No, level 5 air defenses cannot effectively counter dragons. The fact that dragons are highly effective at th7 and th8 but not higher up means that there needs to be a counter for using dragons at those levels.

Dragons can be very costly, but for clan wars, one may be expected to achieve 3 stars no matter what the cost, and dragons are the easiest and best way to do so.

Then someone trains all pekkas, 3 stars a th7, nothing gets fixed. Don't think this idea would work :straightface:

The mass Dragon Attack is an effective strategy for the weak minded individuals who use it. It costs almost 400,000 elixer (level 3 dragon)to use this attack. But it is a favorite among the weaklings in clan wars.

Both of these are really true statements I agree with.

But however tired I am of these posts, this OP has a better idea than most. (Most are just some butt hurt kid screaming rage). His idea is not without merit and if they ever did do something this is the best suggestion so far.
