I think is important to implement a tool to let other clan members the town you want to attack. Since chat window is limited to 100 messages it's possible to ask for a town and then if some friend connects later, when you are offline, and attacks your selection because he couldn't see your ask.
Some space to write messages like you did in boom beach with the operations would be perfect.

It would be nice to have a future where you could highlight, what players needs to be attacked, by your clan member. It would save tons of time, without chat.

Fact is you don't have that feature, THAT's why you have an abundance of third party apps available... works for every other experienced and organised war clan and you don't see them complaining.
Yes it would be a nice feature, but it doesn't exist - therefore those are your CURRENT available options.
