Award shield based on loot loss
In clan wars I am a fierce warrior bringing my clan lots of stars. I use as much elixir as required to build the strongest armies and defeat my opponents. Otherwise, I am a tireless farmer, doing one raid after another to collect resources and pay my bills. I have a nearly maxed TH8 base and I live in Silver 1 / Gold 3 League, because that's where the loot is. I do not understand the concept of trophies, and why people care about them... I find myself trying constantly to get rid of them, so that I stay where the loot is. I went all the way up to Crystal 3 once, and it was a horrible idea: my base was constantly getting raped by TH9s and 10s and I was getting no loot. One cannot build anything using trophies, can one?
Anyway, what I am trying to say is that trophies are worthless and loot is everything. I put out my TH so that it gets sniped and I get a shield, but occasionally someone attacks me, gets tons of loot, and does not destroy enough of my base so that I get a shield.
Can we please get a shield if we lose 40% of the theoretical maximum available to the opponent in any of the three resources? For example, say the raid begins and my base offers the attacker 300K gold, 300K elixir and 2K dark elixir. The attacked zaps my DE storage, gets 1K DE and leaves. Because 1K > 2K *40% = 800, I should get a 12h shield. If the attacked gets more than 90% in any of the three resources, on the other hand, the defender should get a 16h shield.
