I think that a great addition to theme would be an option to attack ones own village to see how efficient your own defenses are and where you need some work. It should cost like 5 gems and you should only be able to do it once a week. It would be good to see if you defenses are lacking or not and if you can penetrate your own walls.

-no, they will not implement that because it is too exploitable. I.e. you could make your war opponent's base or mimic a base that you are about to revenge. Then, you can "practice" against it. Making it almost certain that you will get a high 2 start or a 3 star.
