There will be clans that have their bottom players make terrible bases so that they can get 3 starred and push the other clan's low attackers to aim higher for a low chance at a star with this idea.
Like how there's looting wars where the clan accepts a loss for easy loot, there'll be clans that don't care about winning and aim to get exp this war
It would be more efficient to win wars to get exp as long as the exp awarded for successful defense isn't too high. Around the amount given for a successful attack is good.Quote:

This would just test the communication of the opposing clan anyways. If the a lower guy can't get at least one star, they shouldn't even attack and the clan leader/coleaders should tell them that.
It's a great idea and will make leveling up clans a little less tedious.
A successfully defended base gets exp points
One of the better ideas in the forums right now. I've seen before clan xp asking for a small loot bonus for a successful defense, but I feel like supercell will implement this instead. This is a great idea, I can't think of any reason not to.
It depends on how you define efficient. In a 50 vs 50 war, a clan can leave the bottom half of their bases as a easy 3 star. The other clan's bottom half will have to use their attacks somewhere else so as they aim higher, the chances of 0 stars goes up a lot. That's like ~25 defense wins there from 2nd attacks which is already half of the win bonus. Then the clan can 3 star easy bases while barcher harder ones for 1 star and get that 25 exp for 60% max star.Quote:

More defense wins will occur normally too. The clan doesn't need to use a lot of expensive attacks or attacks in general either since they're not trying to win. In terms of effort to reward efficiency, this would be a new strategy. Plus there'll be clans that just start war and leave it alone to get exp for practically no effort since there'll usually be failed attacks anyways

I totally disagree. First of all, maybe the player thinks they're strong enough to get a star, but just misses it. I've seen a number of frustrating 47% and 49% zero star raids in war. (I've also been on the defending side of that, and didn't consider it my "skill" that saved me from getting beaten.)Quote:

I think it's a valid use of an attack that could have been spent somewhere else. If the clan has cleaned up enough of the low stars to be able to afford to look for traps and troops on a harder target, why should they have to worry that they can't get at least one star?
Only successfully defended bases during war!
As you play the game clash of clans you begin to realize that their are stages when a simple giant healer attack works fine for awhile, then you get dragons and that becomes your style of not only attacking ,but also more than likely what you have to defend against in a war . the types in of attacks change as your town hall is upgrade, and so will your base design . I am just recently a t h 8 dragons are not the automatic 3 star that they once were. My base design has cost me many hours and of research and design with changes here and there. All in an attempt to not to give up 3 stars to dragons . I personally consider it a victory if the opponent doesn't get all 3. I really like my base now against dragon attacks and now they are using gowipe attacks which crushed me . my point is the war base design section of gameplay is critical and a lot of trial and error goes into it. its just as hard if not harder to successfully defend your base.(its harder at certain stages of the game) .I believe rewarding the efforts of dedicated players who put the time in to build a great war base, should be rewarded with the same amount if exp. Points as a successfull 3 star attack.
