From my understanding, it means upgrading to TH10, (usually from max TH9 defense turrets) but not building any Inferno towers so you get matched up against other Max 9s.. but have up to 240 troops (and maybe max troops like Wiz and Golems) and 5 spells (Freeze) to wax those 'normal' max 9s that do not have access to Infernos:p

I would do the opt for the Hound for upgrade priority, but since you have minions I recommend bringing them.. this way, you can safely place them in the outlying buildings that the Loons have cleared out the defenses already. They hopefully have soaked up the Air-Bombs and cleared the defenses. then your low level Minions can clean up while your Hounds>pups and Loons attack/distract the heart of the defenses.

I like to take 15 of my own Minions for this reason. you can take fewer but I think an equal amount of housing that a Hound would take makes for a nice balance since you can put as many as you want, where ever you need them most.
Very helpful for disposing of that AQ too!

There was is a very noticeable difference between Lavahound lvl 1 and 2. Not so between lvl 1-3 minions

im using lvl6 balloons, lvl1 hound and level 1 minions lvl10 BK/AQ in war. early to mid th9 shoud be an easy 3star and max th9, should be easy 2star

I found it to be the other way round personally. Maybe this is due to the way we deploy them and the strategies used.

What is your usual army comp? Has it ever happened that you attack without heroes? My heroes are constantly upgrading, so I can't use them.

You need better minions and lava loons.

I personally never had much luck until my lava hounds were level 2. Idk about minions at level 1 since mine were 3 when I went to th9.
