I don't know if I spelt that right but I was wondering how effective lavaloonion can be at th9 and what army composition and spells to use and I'd like to be able to account for drawing CC with some troop. Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks.

Th 9 lavaloonion can be extremely effective if it's used correctly. There's no one size fits all composition to use on every base. What you have to do is break down the base piece by piece. Search onehive raids, hulkfiles, and clash with predator on YouTube for some great lavaloonion tutorials. You can also check out the youtube in my signature...just replays with no commentary or explanations or anything, but nonetheless they show how effective the strategy can be :)

ive experimented with this a fair bit and ive found the perfect 3 star composition that works for me. i use 20-24 balloons / 2-3 lava hounds/ 15-30 minions with 2 rage and 2 heal spells. in your cc you want troops to take out the enemy cc or mopping up troops. usually i lure with a balloon or 2, use some minions on the cc then send in the hounds/loons/ minions if left. rage spell once converging upon air defence and heal when bunched on wizard towers or affected by air bombs. send in your cc if left and heroes mop up non defence buildings. this works a treat. the only thing that makes me alter the comp is air defence lv. if lv 6/7 use 3. if lv 5 or below 2 is enough. my troops are maxed for th9 so 6/5/2 and my spells are maxed 5/6. the best advice i can give is place your rages and heals IN FRONT of your troops , NOT ON THEM! this can make the difference between useful and wasted spells. as mentioned this is not concrete and theres many variations. however only th10's with single target inferno's have prevented me from achieving more than 2 stars on them. good luck in your experimenting!
i just got destroyed in war by this. Dude use 4 lavas, 1 hog (to lure cc) King and Queen to kill my CC troops and 19 balloons. 4 rage spells, CC with balloons in it. Lavas popped and the pups took out the th while the balloons took all defense down. First time ive seen this attack, only time i was 3 stared. im bummed. lol.

Lightning, 2x rage, 1 Heal
Draw the cc out w/ 2-3 balloons, draw them to the corner and kill them with lightning.
Release all balloons side by side or in groups of 4, not clumped
Pick 2 air defenses closest together and send 2 Hounds to each
Release the 2 rage spells close together, preferably where it can affect balloons and hounds both
Release the minions behind the balloons
When the largest pack of balloons start the deflate, use the Heal
If the minions/pups/balloons take the TH down, send the King/Queen into the far side from where the balloons were deployed. If they do NOT take down the TH, then release the King/Queen on the side where the balloons have already destroyed all the defenses so the King/Queen can target the TH w/o getting killed
