It's a small feature but it would be quite convenient if we know the amount of experience needed to level up. It can be displayed in the exp. bar or our profile, visible only to us.

Good idea but it is already easy to figure out just search it on the clash wiki.
What's the point to show that ? As levels dont really mean anything in CoC :(
Is easily worked out without looking it up. Current level minus one level multipled by 50 = required xp. Then subtract your current xp from this number to see how much more is required to lvl up
To be honest, I don't think I've ever looked at, or at least considered how much XP it would take to my next level. Why? Because levels on CoC aren't that important (unless you're aiming to get in to a clan with requirements). Even then, your levelling is based largely on upgrades or tasks being completed, so it's more of a waiting game than being able to actively do things at a specific time and watch your experience increase. I think it's an upgrade that would be relatively simple for Supercell to implement, and wouldn't do any harm if they were to do so, but I'm not sure it's 100% necessary. In my opinion, I kinda like the fact that it isn't there, with a simple bar to tell me whether I'm close to my next level or far away (and even still, I'm not too fussed about that being there!)
This would be so easy to do I am sure. I too would like this implemented. All they need to show is how much XP you currently have then a forward slash, then the number needed to complete that level.
