I'd like to boost barracks, and am kinda slowly trying to push to master league... any thoughts or recommendations of a good barrack boost strategy? I generally boost in gold leagues using BARCH, and from what I have seen it C3, idk, the loot doesn't seem to be that great with collector raids looking few and very far between. I do not boost often so I always try to get the most out of it so I wonder if dropping to gold 1 or 2 might be better than trying out c3.
Crystal is one of the worse leagues to farm in. Not enough league bonus and low loot available. Depending on your TH since you did not state it, for example TH10 with at least level 6 farm troops.
Choose Gold League (1500 to 1900) for a better boosting experience OR Masters and up for 50% and League bonus but harder opponents.
Collector raids will become less and less frequent as you go up. That said, when I pushed to masters for the achievement I added giants and wizards for the wins and so I could get the DE. I still hover between crystal 2/3 for the DE, but I would drop back to gold if I was after gold and elixir primarily.
I usually stay in Crystal 3 but drop down to about 1940 trophies, gives me the league bonus with more of the Gold 1 bases. Just stay above the bottom person in your league with trophies so you don't drop out. This tactic works out well for me
I would say it does if you plan on using it to train more powerful armies (giant/healer/wiz/loonioin/etc)
And therefore attacking stronger bases for their storages (th9/10), then I can say yes it can and is very profitable.
If you're barching for collector bases, no, I dont think it's worth it.

Also try looking up beakers lab Unity Elite on yt..- farms mainly C1, and he has done allright!

I've had multiple people tell me they find collector raids in crystal 2 every 15-20 nexts and plenty of snipes.
