Has OneHive revolutionized this game?

Watching "The GoWiPe Rut" by OneHiveRaids on Youtube at the moment and I can't help but to think that the stuff these guys are putting out day to day on their youtube channel, Jake in particular, is really elevating the game in terms of raw content and overall quality of the game.

GoWiPe is an attack that we have always thought of as being a premiere, elite attack, but if you really think about it, it's not. The future of this game relies on new troops, finesse attacks, and precision, and OneHive clearly gets this. The way these incredibly complex, mostly 3-star attacks are carried out in such a simplistic manner is really refreshing to see in a game that most people think is played by 12 year olds. These guys make most other Clash of Clans youtubers look like they're trolls.

Anyways, I think what OneHive is doing with this Youtube channel is something fresh, original, and is completely unique to Clash of Clans, and is completely changing the way we think about COC. With Clan Wars taking such a huge emphasis in the latest update, I think it's safe to say that if you consider yourself a serious (war at least once-twice a week) player, and you aren't watching OneHive and keeping up on their content, then you are at a huge disadvantage in this game.

No, that's stuff that half the people on the forums could have told you, and its not even entirely accurate.
I should add that its not original either. You must have missed all the thread complaining that hounds are OP

This sounds like an advertisement. There are a lot of strategies for non-gowipe armies too on the forums

I honestly think no because I barely ever see them. First time was in war against one of their family clans, whom we beat:cool:. But no mainly because people who don't watch their videos or whatever barely know them

I wasn't referring to a direct comparison to the forums, but more towards the idea of OneHive the youtube channel. I consider video to be the superior medium in terms of showing people what to do, and with content coming out almost every day, these guys are really catering to audiences outside of the more diehard, forumers/redditers.

And I kind of wrote it as an advertisement lol, not for any specific motive or cause, but because I think a lot of people in this game still have the wrong approach about war and attacking, and about the game as a whole, and so I just wanted to put this out there

OneHive is great but I hate how it's started to become a circljerk to praise them. There are other clans near their level.

All the gowipe "hype" you have been talking about has almost always been exclusively about pushing and not clan wars. Since day one people have been looking for th10 3 star strategies in war.

Gowipe... lol. I don't know much about OneHive but they are aimed at lower town halls from what I have seen, TH8 vids etc.

I posted a 3 star raid using 5 hounds on a maxed base on my channel yesterday and a few others also.

He's a clash youtuber, just like hundreds of other people. The things onehive does is the same as many others.

I think Jake gives out the best info about hogs on Youtube.. I love watching his videos and he's changed the way I attack

Jake is not at all like Ov.. He actually understands the game.. If you watch a few videos you'll see

They have three family clans.. And people who use hogs usually watch them or hulk.
So they're not super big but some people on my global know them.

No offense to OneHive, but based on the vids I've seen the 3 star attacks have been on lower THs and/or rushed bases.

The vids are good for newer players I suppose.

Revolutionizing the game? I don't think so.

Personally, I prefer Clash with Ed.

That isn't true at all. There are always maxed bases at TH9.

one hive raids is a great channel, the way they put their content is great for learning the 3star strats, but they are not the first to discover these strats nor the best at them

i first learned about these 3star comps from thehulkfiles, and these strats have been spreading since then

that said though, the way they try to reach out to more people and explain the important details is in my opinion very good

When they post a vid 3 starring a base like mine, maxed TH10 walls/heroes everything, I might visit their channel again.

Like others have said, what they are doing is nothing new.

But if you are TH8/9, then maybe you could learn something from their vids.

No OneHive hasn't revolutionized the game whatsoever. There are plenty of better YT channels

Yawn.... This thread would have so much more credibility IF you had only made a brief statement that you enjoyed the videos and then didnt disagree with every semi negative statement towards "Jake" etc

But thats not right, because if they did revolutionize the game then anyone would know them right? I went ahead and watched a few videos just now and they are pretty good though

Just watched a video and has trouble staying awake. You want to be a good YouTuber you need more charisma which is lacking in the videos

witelightingHWD is great with loonion and has natural charisma

I have picked up a lot of great pointers from Jake, but I think OP is going a bit over the top. Is it just me, or is it really annoying how Jake is always saying "and while he's doing that, we'll stop off for a drink of beer *gulp*"?

Well i Believe these guys from Onehive know what they are doing, i seen many other youtubers do Lavaloonion raids and 2stars are always available, but these guys can recognize a base and know where and how to attack it, for the 3star. They try to organize their attacks to be 3stars, Onehive also teaches you to do the attacks and not just show what they can do, they do base game plans, they tell you the reason of using certain army compositions! Not just tell you what to use bc every base is different, even if they have the same layout!

All of you who say these Onehive guys are not game changing, or not recognized by no one. That's because all you look for is Entertainment! Or watching ppl do dumb Challenges, all those youtubers all do the same things, but they never teach you. Theu never explain why they use those Army compositions, this is a Strategy Game, not a show or to Entertain! Or to crack jokes. This is why We suck, bc we spend so much time watching youtubers do challenges, one troops raids and all the other ♥♥♥♥ they do!

It sucks that most of the popular youtubers are just churning out trash contents but people just like them so much and think they are godlike or whatever... :cough: master ov

galadon used to be good before he became popular.
witelighting was a good loonion, then he became popular and the same thing happen.... now he is just trying too hard to be cool and people thinks that is charisma...
same with clash with cam....

OneHive and hulk belongs to the same category of teaching 3 stars strategy (mainly th9).
OneHive is probably better as he is more informative and he speaks clearly as compared to hulk.

For us TH10ers, Clash with Ed and Omar from ITD have the best strategy based channels along with a couple others.

I stopped watching the "popular" YouTube channels long ago.

Like I said before, the OneHive channel may be beneficial to lower THs, but they just aren't at the stage of high level (maxed) TH10 wars.

Well, I agree with those two..

They used to teaching how go get more stars at war, planning or any...
Back there, I don't know bout funneling troops, but now I know...

Others, I just watch for entertaint... =D

But there's is always exist pro & con.. so clash on!

I do think this post is a shameless promotion, but who's without a sin? lol

I actually watch Jake's video's as well and think they are great for lower TH and people that recently started a game and want to learn strategy, instead of blindly dumping troops and praying for a star. Will watching make them better at this game - possibly. Will watching make them easily win wars - doubtful. It all boils down to matchmaking, overall clan's skill level and bit of luck.

Gamechanger will happen once Hive moves up in TH level and start seeing real opponents i.e. TH 10's with max heroes. IMO that's where true attacking and defending skills are tested in this game.

Still, as I said above, I think his content is great and better than watching some other youtubers destroying rushed th8-9 with GoWipe and LavaLoonion armies. Those videos are not showing the depth f this game and true strategy aspect of it.
