I'd love the interaction with the opponent. At least after a war. As a nice handshake after a match. But I agree that people would probably use it to insult others too often. Too bad...

That's exactly why its a bad idea. There is already an ongoing problem of weaponized reporting going on. Clans bait with clan message, get a response, quickly clean up their own message, and then also quickly report so to get some of the other clan suspended. Makes the war easier to win if you pull it off so it is happening a lot

There is already enough of this happening for it to have become a sizeable nuisance to SC. Creating a channel to encourage more of the same will just increase the amount of reports that SC then has to take time to investigate and act on. They would not want to take something that is already a nuisance that they have to hire extra people to deal with and greatly enlarge it. Especially when there is not a single extra cent they would make from the game because of it either.

I even think some of the responders on this thread sounded a little to me like they were smirking in anticipation of being able to better play such games. (I could be wrong, but it felt that way as I read them)

This I agree with. Properly used for good sportsmanship it would be a wonderful addition. But am really sure that is not how it would play out.
