What is the suitable position a person should be after playing a year of COC

Not sure.

I started playing on March 30, 2014, so it's still 21 days before my first year of playing.
I only have 1 cannon left to upgrade to lvl13 before I have maxed defenses (except walls, ofc!).

I was on the late phase of TH9 too on my 7th month (October 30), but I semi-quit the game during those time, from September 18 to November 2 (see my sig).

DAMN!!! most of the post in this thread are mostly around late th9s

Agree in that there's no "perfect area". How quickly you progress in the game is entirely dependent on how much you play, how good a farmer you are, how good your base is, what league you farm in, how many gems you've bought (and how often), when you bought those gems, number of builders, wars, and so many more factors so everyone's going to be different. But from what I've seen from clanmates and my own personal base, I'd say late TH 9-early TH 10 is where I'd expect that range to be in.

Don't know the exact date, but it was the first week of July 2014. So far haven't bought any gems, but still use em from time to time

I've been "playing" for 2 years and I'm a mid TH 9 - 250/250 skull walls - trophy record is 2600 (from TH 8).
I say "playing" because for the first year and a half or so I was just on and off, not really loving the game, pretty much living off mines and pumps from whenever I decided to log on.

One year, one week of playing for me.
I'm a high level TH9, defenses not totally maxed but well on the way, building my Lego walls, BK at 10, AQ at 9.
