Compulsory mines and collectors upgrading for better Economical Balancing

Hi,
I'm Jamius siam, from Bangladesh!
I'm playing Clash of Clans for quite sometimes!

Now, I will get straight to the point!
Its about the economical balancing of resources...
By resources, I'm mainly focusing on Elixir and Gold...

Now, when I started playing about 4/5 months ago, there used to be enough resources for upgrading on each raid....
I repeat, Enough, not Plenty!

Now, I'm on TH7 and in silver 1 league....
I know, loot percentage decrease as I upgrade my townhall, but in TH7, if I get only one base after ~30/40 'Next'ing (sometimes the numbers is a lot more) with just about ~90k of one type resource, I mean Either gold or elixir and it's also Th7, it really doesn't make any sense!

Moreover, these resources are mainly found on storages!
Means I have to crack the base deeper for it!

Its easy to get resource from Mines/Collectors then from the storages!

Here's the main point!
We've got loot dependent!
Not mine/collector dependent!
So, many, if not, then most players don't bother upgrading their mines and collectors, as they've been getting resources from loot past few months, just like me!

As a result, the general loot quantity is decreasing compared to the expensive upgrades!
This is one of the main drawbacks of similar games like Samurai Seige!

If Supercell had made it compulsory to upgrade mines on the same level+one level as townhall before the townhall can be upgraded to next level.

I mean, I have Town Hall 7... So my mines and collectors should also be in lvl 7+1= lvl 8 (minimum...or more) before I can upgrade my townhall to lvl 8....
Its not either that costly or time killing!
But the main point of upgrading mine isn't supplying resources for me, its for the opponent raid!

Thus, the low level players will not get too much resources as opponents are mostly in same th lvl or +/- 1 lvl.....
And high and mid-high level players will get adequate resources for upgrading stuffs more easily!

I know many players are getting enough resources by raid, but this method will be beneficial to all!

Me and all of my 8/9 friends are facing this problem day by day!

Hope you guys will take it into your consideration for next update!

I agree that there should be more incentive to upgrade collectors/mines.

I wouldn't have a problem with this since I play the exact opposite way, upgrading collectors as much as possible and never raiding. So far this has gotten me all the way to level 94 and I don't even have the second conqueror achievement. I don't think it would be a good way to go though.

Simple fix, don't force people to upgrade, tempt to upgrade. Make an achievement for level up up your set up minds and collectors for a few gems, like the other achievements. Making it a requirment will be less fun for people, and require more coding to do.

This is not my idea. This has been brought up several times before, and even I looked for a better way (http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...8Need-Ideas%29) but quickly had to concede to the idea. Personally, it doesn't address what I think the real issues are with the resource buildings, but in regards to this specific issue, it is the best answer.

I'd not say that's a pretty cool Idea!
Even if u have maxed gold mines at a production rate of 3500 per hour, with 7 mines you'll get only 7x3500=24,500 per hour....
and in 2 hours it is only 49,000 of per resources!

As for my technique, counting a raid in 2 hours will get me 100k of each resources!
Which is far better! :-)

Actually, I won't mind if people stopped raiding if they felt like they generated enough loot to find it unnecessary; since they do have to log off at some point, and will get raided of thier loot. :cool: Just means that we'd have bases that are better to farm than the abandoned bases we see now in-game. If there were more 'sheep-like' players, just generating awesome loot, that means I'd have more targets to sheer, and on demaind! :D

I and many others agree with your idea, but Supercell probably won't want to encourage any specific type of gameplay. Also, they won't want much to do with completely fixing loot, since less people will gem resources.

Hmm.. You're still underestimating the power of mines and collectors huh.. You should have upgraded it sooner. Level 10 mines and collectors earns almost 300k resources within 10hrs worth of shield! Anyway, If Silver league is dried, try moving up to Gold III.

That is still a sad amount of loot. At my Gold League range, I can get 300k farming abandoned or idle bases with 1-3 raids. Raids are either archer rushes or now Barcher armies, and that's easily less than 30 mins of training time. And assuming I spend all my troops. If I don't, my 20-25 minute turnover time is even less.

Mines and collectors are still not worth the effort for (selfish) loot gain. I've actually stopped collecting from my mines and collectors as a way to distract raiders of the Dark Elixir in the center, and works most times as they spend troops on that easy to get loot, and usually not have enough to do anything else, besides maybe get 50% damage. At the cost of loot, I now have a farming base w/o the TH being exposed :p And I still have a chance to win and get a shield.
