Teslas could have a sepcial setting, like XBows, that allows them to be used as Lightning Rods. If a Tesla is in Lightning Rod mode it cannot attack but if lightning hits within it's radius, it is absorbed and does only 30% damage or however much game balance dictates. That could help defend DE storage from lightning attacks or cc troops if used where they spawn. it could even help defend some ADs or things like that.
Ok I see that something very similar was ruled out but what I suggest is that the Tesla cannot attack if in lightning rod mode.
To the OP: not an original idea. An interesting twist on the idea though (setting the mode), so I guess you get points for that. (Though I wouldn't be surprised if that twist has been suggested before as well, but I don't remember it.)

I understand it's not an original idea and only a slight change to it. But if you read the list of ruled out ideas, you will see one in there for raising the troop donation limit. It was ruled out and now, it's been implemented as a clan upgrade with the new clan XP system.Quote:

You can choose between being raidable, or zappable. If you really don't like the zaps push up to a higher level where you are more attackable and they will do that instead.
