War Packages & Community Sharing
CONCEIT
Barracks presets that, when selected, will automatically distribute an order across the Barracks, Dark Barracks, and Spell Factories. This will automatically optimize the order for the sake of expedition.
CONSIDERATIONS
Unlike individual troop orders, these cannot be queued in a stack beyond capacity. However, if capacity allows for a war package in addition to the current order, then said war package order can be submitted, and the troops trained. It might be important to note that the war package is not an isolated order. It is not a single item that is, itself, "trained". It is a recipe for troops to be trained, and thus is not necessarily reflected once ordered. For this reason its ingredients can be customized after the fact just like any troop/spell order, but cannot be deleted as a single entity.
EXTRA THOUGHTS
- Friends and clan members should be able to share war packages, assuming they were compatible in troop availability (e.g. Player 1 can share a package with Player 2 for Level 6 Giants and Wizards, even if Player 2's counterparts are of lesser level; however, a package that includes troops not yet unlocked by Player 2 will render the exchange canceled.
- At some point, the game should be able to suggest war packages for certain bases. And if this is too complex an ask, there could be at least some degree of an in-game forum for popular packages. A simple ranking system.
- An extension of the last thought: A tipping system would be a fun feature. If they applied the community aspect to the base design feature of the game (another opportunity to share designs and let the community interact with, share, and popularize them) then another way to reward the creators would be a tip of one gem.
- It might be possible to allow for a greater sense of flexibility with the war packages. However to achieve this there needs to be some degree of customizability to how one prefers their War Package to interact with the aberrant troops and spells ofttimes leftover from battles:
Full Wipe : Delete all trained spells and troops not in the recipe, and submit the order.
Full Wipe+ : Delete everything and submit the full War Package.
Priority (Rank) : Rank the package's troops and spells in order of priority; room will be made for troops and spells already trained by removing these in the logical order of lowest to highest.
Priority (Price) : Troops are removed from the order by cost: highest to lowest.
I'm interested in your objective thoughts on this.
