Which troops to upgrade first in TH9?

So I finally gave my TH for upgrade and am now wondering which troops to upgrade first when I finally reach TH9. I use barching for farming and Dragons/loons/hogs/gowipe for clan war attacks. Being a maxed out TH8, I'm finding it a bit difficult to 3 star other maxed TH8s and low TH9s. So my priority would be to up my clan war performance first. Is there any particular troop that make a real difference in TH9? Any attack strategy that is particularly effective than others?

I would like to hear your thoughts and opinion on this. Thanks in Advanace !! :)

Loons.

Out of all the troops you listed that you use Loons is the one that gets the biggest boost. Barch if you are only collector raiding and farming and not pushing you can leave at level 5.

Balloon is a good choice for you.
With level 5 Barch, you still can farm well.

I would write down what troops I use the most from top to bottom then start upgrading the troops from the top

1 - Farming Troops
2 - War Troops
3 - Donate Troops

Hogs to L5, and Loons to L6, will buff your War efforts right away IMO..they both get big buffs to that level (giants do too!)


other than that Golems! and Witches depending on your Royal's levels; or Hounds to L2 to buff you B'Loonian raids.


you can still farm pretty effective with 220 L5 Barch + 4-spell cue + 30-pack-CC (L5) as well IMO

FYI: it dosent get any easier as a TH9 to 3 star other fellow TH9s. the learning curve is steep, but the weaponry is available once leveled up.

From what I heard, balloons! become a staple in many war and farming armies and allow much more diverse attacks.

maybe barbs, arch, and giants afterwards? (With giants taking priority, those wreck th8) then I dunno. Maybe hogs or minions.

i recommend loons. with max loons, 4 spells, and max th9 camps, you can 3 star any th8 base whether u use loonian, dragoon etc. that will be good for war while you upgrade your barch. then you can start working on golems/hogs and all the other war troops for th9

If you are struggling to 3 star max TH8s then Max loons and upgrade your dark barracks asap. Lavaloonion just owns TH8s.

For an immediate improvement if war balloons are the easy choice. I did farming first, they were my fourth upgrade. I did barbs->Giants->archers first.

I Think Giants are by far the best Lvl 6 troop. They are amazingly strong and have a ton more HP than level 5.

Go with loons. Such a huge buff from lvl 5 to lvl 6

I always do barbs and archers first because that is what I farm with.

After that I suggest that you unlock hounds and start to learn lavaloonion. Some major upgrades are getting to maxed hogs, max loons, and lvl4 golem.

Why, with this army comp im going to post I always 3 star max eights who are holding max loot.

16 lvl 6 giants
50 lvl 6 barbs
50 lvl 6 archers
10 lvl 5 wall breakers
20 lvl 5 goblins
CC 7 wizs 2 archers
King lvl 10
Queen lvl 6

4 heal spells

Simply lure out cc using giants and breakers if neccessary, kill with barch than 3 star whole base. Keep cc wizs for more firepower. I use 1-2 spells and the weaker the th8 is less spells needed. Even if you don't three star them you leave with all their loot with a relatively quick army. 24 mins I think, anyways I personally only use llons to wreck th9 as my th10 account.

Giants/Loons have the highest boost, and are monsters at lvl 6. (Giants for farming, Loons for war, cup pushing, farming etc).

Barbs are the cheapest, (depending if you are a new 9 and as so likely need a ton of elixer), and a good upgrade.

Arch if your clan values them for donates, though usually you can hold off on these awhile and donate something more valuable like lvl 5 wiz in the meanwhile that most people will like you better for anyway.

Personally, I'd do loons or Giants. Giants if your main goal is farming. Loons if you prioritize war and want a good all around troop that can do anything.

Ah, just saw your main goal is to up your clan war performance. Loons then for sure. I'd also highly recommend upgrading your CC asap so you can hold a lava pup or max golem. Those will help out tremendously in war.

I would do barch because as you said, you farm with barch. Level 6 barch are a big improvement to level 5, I can 3 star th 8's with level 6 barch.

then I would do balloons then golems ready for war.

* For war 1st upgrade Drag, Light spell.

For farming 1st wiz, Giant. Wiz also help for war when u use pakka/velky.

Than velkary , archer, golem any others. With drag you can achieve 2star/3star easily in th9. With pakka, wiz u can easily achieve 2star in war. So what is important first .

If u want to donate looon in war , u must upgrade loon at first.

War: Loons, Hounds and Valks.
Farming: Giants, Archers and Barbs.

you can use mass loons for farming as well. I se 40 loons and 10 minions. Plus 3 rage and 3 haste. It's fun to use and watch!

Loons > wizards > giants > golems > valks.these are the main war and multiplayer attacking troops!
