Clan War opt in/out problem

I was very happy about this update but now it made me sad. This is bad that Leader can make members in the war. This was good idea that leader can only make members out of the war. I clicked on im out button in profile and when the next war started I was in. My father dont let me leave the clan and they force me to attack in war. But now i am not interested in war so i chose im out. Please make the change that leader can only make members out of the war and he cant chose the members for war who selected to be out of the war otherwise the button in profile is no use because leader has to make members in or out the war. Please Supercell this will help alot.



There are some replies saying that say to your leader that you dont want to be in war. Why do I say to leader that i dont want to be in war. There is the button in profile so why do i say to leader. Its very annoying that we selected to be out of war and we have to say leader too that we dont want to be in war. When starting the war, there is list of members to select participants for war and if i have selected to be out of war so my name shouldnt be in that list or if leader has selected my name, there should be a message written "You cant choose this player because he has chosen to be out of clan war"

Leader should only be able to make members out of war e.g
If there is the player whose troops are bad and he always takes 1 star or 0 star and he wants to be in war but because of him clan is loosing the wars so leader can make him out. Simple!

This is a clan problem, not SC's problem.

While we were discussing the best way to implement this, we decided that a leader must have the ability to override your choices. This is because of two reasons.
1)IF the leader feels like you are just opting out for no good reason and/or the leader wants everyone to war (for some reason), then the leader should have control.
2) IF your house was hit by a hurricane (hypothetical, just an example), then the leader might know. And opt you out because you can't access Clash

To address your problems...
1) iF the leader is being a jerk and is abusing his power,then that is a problem that the leader has. You can tell him not to do it again, or just leave. A good leader would not disrespect your wishes. There are plenty of clans that have leaders that respect your wishes. If this is such an issue that you came here to complain about it, I can guess that and the leader aren't exactly friends.

In summary, this is not the game's problem. It is a problem with your leader.

Totally disagree with suggestion. While I agree that as best as possible clans should respect a players clan war preference, there will be times when someone has ot be opted in for the good of the clan.

For example, imagine you are trying to do a 30v30 and you have 40 members. But only 29 or 28 opted in. While it is totally valid to opt out 3 or 4 people, it is also just as valid to opt in 1 or 2 to reach the multiple of 5.

However - It is my option that anyone opted IN when they wanted out - should never be expected to attack in the war. And a clan mail should be sent letting everyone know that member(s) X and Y were opted in and not obligated to attack.

Frankly - in a war that size, one person should never really make a difference. Everyone has two attacks and other members should be able to cover for one or two people. If you lose, its not because of those two alone, its because everyone else had lousy attacks too.

I totally agree with this guys post!!! What the heck is the point in having the opt in and out if you can't actually opt out!!!

Yeah it's the clans problem if you have bad leadership but sc problem for not making the opt out problem better! We are a farm clan and wanted to farm, since update people want to war. Now it's divided us it's just like it was before, if you don't want to be in war then you have to leave before clan search starts and join back after a match has been found!

We opt out because we joined a Dam farm clan to begin with and now it's like two sides. And if the leader choses you, even though you opted out it can get annoying and if you don't attack then the clan goes crazy and blames you! It interrupts my farming and since I don't get much time on clash i like to farm for my upgrades.. I can't farm if im cookimg dam war ATTACKS.

In in the real world if you said no it means no!! No can mean yes to some leaders and idc if it's for the good of the clan I don't want to war!! War cost too much and game progression is key to me!!

It definitely is a sign of a bad leader if you get opted in against your will and expected to attack unless you're just opting out for no reason.

But I don't think leaders shouldn't be allowed to opt someone in. They should have final say.

As for your dad; maybe you could talk to him and explain why you want to leave the clan. Or you can just try to get kicked.

If they did this then leader will kick those who opt out instead.

Maybe....just maybe... Read above two posts over you as well? And not just op post..

They explained exactly why you should have both options.. If your clan makes you opt in even if you opt out each time.. Then its obviously not good clan. Just inform them what's happening if you are forced each time if its just 1 co doing.

Or join a better clan.. If you are forced to opt in.. You are not obliged to attack anyway

SC allowed a leader to opt guys back in because they were making the option flexible and convenient. Say you had a convo with someone and they said BTW I am back in after this coming war. So then you go to start the next war and you see he forgot to opt himself back in. Its nice then to be able to, rather than wait for him to come online, just do it.

Of course this can be used stupidly. If a player has stated they wanted out its a foolish leader that overrides that. Mean too of course, but mostly foolish. If that was done to me I am going to ignore it, they made their own bed and can lie in it without my attacks (and I may well be unaware because if I was away I might never log in to see it). If it was more than just a misunderstanding and I later find I am in trouble for it I am leaving. I think this is how most would handle being opted in against their will. And that's why, even if a leader has the ability, the stupidity of it will keep it from being a rampant problem.

You need to tell the leader that you don't want to be in war and if he deosnt listen you need to just find a new clan

If your leader is going to force you into war without giving you a choice, it might be time for you to find a new clan.
