Donation process needs to improve

My issue with how the current donation system stems from a couple issues.

1) By keeping count of donations, the developers have put an emphasis on donations and have forced clan leaders to use that number as a sign of participation. Now that is fine but one can only donate when there are requests available.

2) Countless times I have trained high level troops for donation just to not have anyone request. It turns into a waste of elixir while not being able to participate with the clan, especially with a small clan.


Solution: Instead of being able to limit when a player can donate, allow players to donate any type of troop towards a "donation pool". By donating towards a pool, it gives players freedom to participate whenever they can, not only when requested. On the other side, it allows players to pull the exact troops wanted from the pool. No more requesting a certain troop and waiting for someone to read your request, train the troop, then ultimately donate towards that request.

Imagine having a pool of every troop to pick from to put in your clan castle. It benefits every style of player while allowing maximum participation for your clan. Just my two cents...

I like the idea but right away see the complaints "hoppers, hoppers hoppers....." I like it but think too many people, especially low lvl, will complain.

Hoppers? Why would low lvl people complain?

It should have limitation whether the amount of total capacity of the clan can hold donate troops (donation pool), or the capacity for each player can give.

I agree, there should be a limit in the number of troops available in the pool and give the clan leaders the ability to remove troops from the pool.

It would give hoppers more reason to hop and it will make the donating achievement much easier to get.

Maybe make it so elders have to approve the request?

Couldn't you see hoppers just loving this? Join a clan take the best from the stash of troops. Good clans that don't beg, offer elder, co etc to anyone and everyone, this would be a nice feature.
So as a result bunch of whiners would take to the forums.

I saw Donation Pool and immediately thought, "this must of been ruled out". You need to manage your troops better. This seems like an operator error issue.
