This has likely been said before, but I'd thought of it a while back and I'd like to atleast share my ideas.
Basically I think that clans should have their normal chat tab which you talk in and the chat disappears after that limit from the bottom, however it would also be extremely helpful and beneficial, not just to older clan members but to new ones too, to have a tab for clan news. This would include things like war strategies, donation ratio limits and a clan's individual rules that you generally don't want to be reiterating every time someone brings it up.
Another possible idea for this system would be to have an even further tab for those appointed with leadership roles exclusively, a kind of 'round-table' idea where the leaders could discuss important changes for the clan.
As of yet I can't think of any reasons not to include these things as they wouldn't just be useful, they'd save repitition and also would mean that a member who is offline may catch up on vital information missed out simply by checking a separate tab.
Now I am aware of the clan mail option, and i think this is useful but it really doesn't work effectively for when you need to DISCUSS important events or talk to your members about ideas for your clan. The mail system works for changes made final or reminders about important events or rules. It does not work for things like clan discussions. The normal chat can work for that, but i find it occurs all too often that everyone isn't on at the same time due to timezone restrictions and so forth.
That's all i can think of,
