Dragons are insanely overpowered

Ok i will make it easy and fast.
I am at TH7 all defence maxed out[except one tesla] but in clan wars there is no stopping getting a 3 star if an enemy drops 10 drags + 1 in CC .This is ridiculous , even noobs can do that and brag about it .. Same problem i heard in TH8 level.All in the name of defense against drag is 2 missiles and 1 air mine ,rest of stuff is useless .
All i want is Answers of two qustns :
1.Do i have to play like this till i get inferno tower[hope that works against drags]
2.Will a solution be provided .
IDEAs -
a. maybe increase no. of air seeking mines
b. some new anti-drag defense.

That's how it is. They are fine. They stop being overpowered at TH9, and some maxed TH8. They actually need to be upgraded because they are never used at TH9 or 10. You just have to live with it at TH7

It makes sense to me that 11 dragons would destroy at TH7 village. You know, big fire breathing lizards -vs- a village that is only just learning to build air defense. Makes perfect sense to me. So based on that I disagree that your TH7 provides any evidence that they are overpowered. On to a more compelling counter argument.

Barbarians = actually viable through TH10
Archers = actually viable through TH10
Giants = actually viable through TH10
Balloons = actually viable through TH10
Wiz = actually viable through TH10
Dragons = only useful TH7-early TH8
Minions = actually viable through TH10

I can entertain the argument that lvl1 dragons could be slightly weaker. But lvl3 and up need to be stronger if anything. I hardly see how a troop with such a narrow window of use can be considered overpowered. Add to their uselessness the fact that they are the most expensive army you can build and they need a buff if anything. The only things more useless are healers (maybe changed by yesterday's patch) and lightning spells.

I'm at TH7 and I have absolutely NO problem with dragons. Sure they are powerful, but note that while they can 3 star every TH7 base no matter how good it is, it also gives TH7 a chance to fight against TH8. A well planned mass dragon attack can ♥♥♥♥ almost every TH8 base, now that is something TH6 can't do to TH7.

I've said this a bunch of times before, but since I'm pretty sure I've seen your post before too, I guess we're both broken records. Haha!

Anyway, level 1 dragons need to be nerfed. It's not even really a question. 4 days into TH7, and 2.3 M elixir to upgrade the spell factory and 1 barracks. At that point, you can 3-star any TH7 base there is. The maxed TH7's with really, really good base layouts and something amazing in the CC might be able to stop a noob from getting 3 stars. But in the hands of a skilled player, there isn't a TH7 layout that can stop 3 stars. Heck, even a brand new TH8, essentially a maxed TH7, but with a couple of low level defense bonuses (say a level 2 wizard tower, a level 5 archer tower, and a level 2 air defense), is still most likely going to get 3-starred by level 1 dragons.

I don't know of any other attack strategy (single troop or a composition) that is guaranteed to 3-star someone a full TH level higher. I know there are some strategies that are basically guaranteed to 2-star someone a full TH level above you, but I honestly don't know of another strategy that guarantees 3 stars.

So yeah, level 1 needs a nerf. Multiple ways to do it: reduce DPS, reduce health, reduce both, buff AD's, add a second SAM at TH7, etc. I don't think buffing TH7's aerial defenses is the answer. (That would also nerf balloons, minions, healers.) I think nerfing dragons directly is the answer. And I think nerfing DPS is better than nerfing health, as it would encourage players to try combinations like dragon-balloon or dragon-balloonion. Dragons make awesome tanks for balloons at TH7-TH8.

But that's the problem. Why should someone be able to get 2-3 stars against an early to mid TH8, from a brand new TH7 account? That's not balanced at all. I mean, sure, a skilled player with weeks or months of practice should get rewarded for being able to analyze a base, put together a composition where every last troop is maximized, and then painstakingly execute a flawless deployment. GoWiXX variants come to mind, when people get 2-3 stars against someone a TH above them. But with dragons, it takes little skill to exploit even a small weakness in aerial defenses. I see very few TH8 bases in war that require a great deal of skill to 3-star from a TH7 with level 1 dragons. And when I do see them, I just attack them from my TH8 account with level 2 dragons. Which, by the way, I could have gotten at TH7 if it had been more of a priority for me back then.

I honestly don't have a problem with level 2 dragons being overpowered. They are the mainstay of early TH8 attacks (since your first upgrades will likely be archers, barbs, and balloons before dragons, so it'll be a month at TH8 before you have level 3 dragons).

Level 3 are fine, and level 4 need a buff and should be given at TH9, and we need a new level 5 dragon at TH10. Add it all together, and we're not talking about nerfing an overpowered troops anymore. We're talking about rebalancing dragons in general.

I was never 3 starred by drags as a th8...only 1 or 2 stars unless they were max drags...Only succesful 3 star against the base I used was a gowipe...

Drags are just too dumb to be usefull, just dont use them...

They are not overpowered. End of.

ive sent one or two into a th 10 attack, usually to clear out clan castle troops cos my loons ignore then, but never more than one or 2, they do decent damage and take a few hits, but an all dragon attack at th10 would be stupid they are way too slow to bypass most defences and they need something taking the hits, minions actually do a better job than them.

they are not overpowered you just need to get all lvl 6 air defenses then you will be fine
