Clan Farming Challenge Vote

Hi, I think that the game needs something for farming clans; I know that Molt put a video on YouTube before (http://youtu.be/gS7ODc1f1mo) about a farming war idea. But I cannot find it on the forums; my idea is a similar idea to his.

Clash of clans should be about Farming and Wars. We need something for farmers

My idea is that the Leader/co-leaders set clan loot challenge for that week, for example 100 million resources looted in a week.

When the Clan Farming challenge starts then the clan will have a week to steal the amount of resources.
If the clan completes the target in time then each person in the clan gets something like 10% or 20% of the resources that they stole in their clan castle, this will make sure everyone is taking part because the bonus will depend on how much each person farmed. Also the clan will not be able to start another Clan Farming Challenge until the week has finished stopping clans setting a low target, completing them early then going straight into another clan farming challenge.

I said resources because it will be easier to fit next to clan members names, instead of putting gold, elixir and dark elixir separately, also the targets for like gold maybe reached before elixir or dark elixir is reached, this would mean that the bonus given would need to be the same for all clan members when it should be the more you farm the more reward you can get.

However each player will be able to see the breakdown of how many resources they have stolen somewhere, possibly on the Clan Farming challenge section, so that they can view how much gold, elixir and dark elixir that they have stole in the current Clan Farming Week.

Also this could go with the clan XP, so that the game can focus on rewarding farming clans as well as war clans, and not just war clans. The perks that you get by upgrading the clan level would be useful in farming clans. The XP earned could be based on the farming challenge that the clan is doing

If people leave the clan during the challenge the loot that they farmed will still count in the clan, and the player name will still show up in the farming challenge tab, just like in a war. Also it would be good if new clan members are automatically joined into the current farming challenge.

I like how much effort you put into this post, and I'd just like to comment.

Farming isn't Supercell's most favouritest (yes, yes, grammar...) part of this game. Farming bases were originally more of a glitch or a loophole that players found in the trophy system. Sure resource looting ("normal" farming)is great, but I feel that these challenges would encourage more people to disregard trophies.

Ideally, this idea could be easily implemented without encouraging the putting of town halls outside undefended, but realistically I don't think this is possible.
But yes, I support this idea, but I don't think it will be a good addition to the game psychology.

I do see your point, but if Supercell wanted to stop farming they could implement a method similar to boom beach, but I cannot see that happening. So farming is always going to be a big part of the game for most players.

Also Supercell could make it so that clan XP is harder to earn in the farming challenge by saying that clan XP earned will be lower amounts then if the clan went to war.
For example completing the 100,000,000 achievement will get the clan 30xp
Completing the 200,000,000 achievement will get the clan 50xp
Completing the 300,000,000 achievement will get the clan 75xp

Obviously warring clans can get more XP because they can have a war every 2 days (3 wars in a week) and get more XP, where as the farming challenge will be 7 days long, and the clan can only start another farming challenge when the 7 days are up.

Ideally I would like to see the XP earned a bit higher (because I am a farmer), but I know that people in who like wars will complain.

I would like to see something that would allow farming clans to upgrade the clan without having to go to war

I belive that most of boom beach was designed on the things that they wanted to change about Clash, but couldn't do so without ruining the base game of Clash. (e.g. Troops that survive return, many players attack one base, etc..)

So yes, SC doesn't want to encourage farming but can't do anything to stop it. That's why I don't think they would consider this.

I forgot to mention this, but SC has been trying to get more people to war(which might be why they finally allowed Opting), so things aren't looking good for your idea.

I love the effort you put into this, but in all honesty, I don't think this idea will get anywhere. If you apply that work ethic to another idea (that isn't ruled out), you might get a much better audience and appreaciation that is worth the quality of your posts.
