Global Chat Channel - Add a list of available channels to join......

As it is, When we open the game to play, apparently you are randomly placed in one of MANY Global Chat Channels. I have friends in several different clans, and in different parts of the world. There is no way to determine, if I am in the correct channel to chat with them or not. If there was a list of channels that you could choose from, it would make chatting with others much easier. As it is, we are having to leave our clan, and join our sister clan (or other) to discuss matters such as player transfers and scheduling of clan war timing, etc.

We feel that if there were a list with permanent names, we would always know where to meet to chat. Personally, I don't think having "levels" of chat would help at all, because nobody would want to be in a "newbie" or level 1-10 type channel. Making unique names would probably be a better idea. Maybe just use the names of the characters? Barbarians, Wizards, Dragons etc.

I am not sure how many channels there actually are, But maybe you could give some information on that also. I really hate to keep exiting the game to try to find the channel with others in it. Especially at 3AM Central USA time, you can get one channel full of people spewing hate at each other. Restart the game, and get a channel with nobody talking in it, and restart again to find a channel with nice conversations going on. And restarting again will give you one with non-stop spamming for joining.

Please take careful consideration to my suggestions and possibly open a thread for channel name suggestions if you are at a loss for input. Thank you very much for all your work on making this game the best.

Instead, you can login to Facebook. Then you can visit all your friends' villages easily..
But,yeah, this idea is good too!! Just a little hard to implement.

Sorry, I do not want to give out my facebook page to people on CoC. That is for Real Life friends. I don't think using a 3rd party application to accomplish what should be a in-game feature is very enjoyable at all. It also says in Global Chat not to give out personal info, passwords, email, etc.

By logging-in to Facebook, there will be an additional tab where you can see your Facebook friends. No one else can see your details, nor can you see anyone else's!

The point is, I dont want every person I want to talk to on a regular basis in CoC knowing my personal information. Have you never started talking to someone in Global Chat and got disconnected?? It is impossible to find them again. I am not talking about long term real life friends. I understand how to contact them. I am talking about acquaintances you meet while playing and chatting. I dont know about you, but I am not going to fill up my facebook with every person that I meet in life. That is not what CoC or Facebook is about. I still believe this to be an EXCELLENT idea.

Also, the Tab in game that shows your facebook friends gives you no way of talking to them. And their facebook name is not shown, it is just their profile picture and CoC name. So just because I know they play and what clan they are in and ranking does me no good for how to talk to them in game. I think you totally missed the point here with your facebook suggestion. The Facebook option is there just so you have a ranking board against your friends.

What I am looking for here is a way to consistently find and converse with other players IN THE GAME. The random Global Chat Channel is not fulfilling that need or desire. Thanks for your input, but you totally misunderstood what was being said here.

That being said, I hope the Developers and other CoC players agree with me and try to better the game.

In the middle of the conversation, if you feel like talking to them again, tell them to go on Norsk sometime. There are like, 2 Norsk servers.

I'm going to try and simplify your Idea.

When a player joins and goes to global, he is placed in a random global like right now.
there is a button that lets him switch to another channel.
Clicking that button opens a list of Channel numbers
Click on one of them and get directed to that channel.


The reason permenant list of people on one channel would be annoying because say your channel was full of people spamming join. Another reason your idea could potentially not work is because of privacy issues. If someone is bullying another guy on global and the guy being bullied runs to another channel, your idea would basically let the other guy chase him (if I'm interpreting it right) much more easily than right now.

Thats why my version of this allows you to communicate with people and tell them something like "Meet me on Channel 13" and then you both go there at the designated time and chat (without having to leave the clan).

Its not super convenient but there are far too many people I talk and have interesting conversations with for me to actively seek them later on. My version stills allos people to meet again on global, although many other things are limited.

that sounds like a good idea too. maybe they can combine all of our ideas and come up with something better than just randomly dropping us in channels. Thanks for your support and input.
