Try WAG. It's in my guide (in my sig) as well as a few other troop compositions.
WAG (wizards, archers, giants, wallbreakers) – 12 wizards, 16 giants, 58 archers, 7 wallbreakers (2 rage, 1 heal)

Why not barch? I just did it in one day... raid collectors and occasionally deep in th7 bases.
im trying to sustain trophies and I want to be able to get into the core and barch isn't efficient enough for me to do that.
You get resources out th7 storages with barch, not that difficult.Quote:

You don't need to reach the core to barch gold storages for TH7/8. Storages are usually in the 2nd layer. Bring enough wall breaks to break the 1st layer, then archers will take care of the rest.
If you want to hit deeper, use BAG (Barbs, Archers, Goblins). I only use 27-30 goblins, since the training time is slow. I never deploy goblins for collector raids. I only use them if the raid is for 150k+ gold and it's in the storages.
If they are silly enough to put all the storages in a vault core, I will unleash a rage and wall breakers. A line of goblins behind them with another rage spell in the vault.
If you are trying to hit the core on TH9 with barch, forget it. There is easier loot from Th7/8.
I'm a few weeks out from upgrading to TH9. I only use barbarians in gold III and I'm rolling in resources.

Yes. I rarely have to use the full 200. Barbs are cheaper and train faster. I like to attack alot too. You just have to make sure youre going for collectors only. In gold III I get an 8k bonus which pretty well covers my elixir costs so almost all of my elixir grab is profit.
