Just wanted to know what trophy range most people use at th8 for farming gold/elixir and if you use a different trophy range to farm dark elixir. Nearly maxed out my base so don't know whether pushing to crystal would be a good or bad idea as I wanted to know what the loot is like up there e.g. If there are many collector bases or mainly storage bases.
I'm an early TH 8 (still with level 4 barch), and I'm around 2000 trophies. It is mostly storage bases, but the loot bonus is nice in C3, and it's not to hard even for me to farm, so I would recommend trying it.
S1-G3 for gold/elixir and C3-C1 for DE
For gold/elixir loot, I would go with G3-G1. I would mostly look for inactive bases and use barch. For DE, I would go up to higher leagues (the higher, the better), where you would most likely have to use a more complex composition because of overall importance and tight security of DE. You can also snipe your way up to masters and snipe bases for the loot bonus.
I never left silver1/2 for my th8 time. Only pushed once to masters for gems for 5th builder and upgraded bk to 9 and 10 and collected enough for aq.
Seriously if a th8 wants easy collectors raids there is no reason for them to leave silver.
