I read somewhere that you would be able to use upgrading heroes in wars, but did not see anything related to it in the notes.

no. and if they are upgrading simply opt out of war.

Yeah..Gutted they ignored this. My Queens is upgrading now - 6 days 12 hours. If I don't war with my clan by opting out we get fewer war perks etc....as I am the top base. If I do war they get harder match and I cant attack at my level without heroes...sigh....used to be such a simple game
I dont mind if my BK isn't there with war. I think its a interesting element in the game.
To manage war days with the time u BK is upgrading.
SC really dropped the ball on this... They're encouraging us to war by offering perks, but not giving us our heroes while they're Upgrading? It doesn't ruin wars or anything, but it definitely takes away from them. We get upgrading defenses in wars because it makes wars better, same could be said for heroes...
