I agreed on your idea but with little change.i would rather suggest 5 star battle.as they keep track of 25%,50%,75%,100% and town hall down,it wont be difficult to implement this.
This is the breakdown how it will work:-
25% damage - 1 star(+1 star,if th is down)
50% damage - 2 star(+1 star,if th is down)
75% damage - 3 star(+1 star,if th is down)
100% damage- 5 star
I dont mind if anyone 1 star or 2 star me in 5 star battle.remember this in 3 star battle 2 star is consider as fail below th10 and include even th9.if i am th9 and some 1 star or 2 star me in 5 star battle that is considered as defence win.
Now come with th10 problem as gap between 2 star and 3 star is so huge.to minimize the complexness of 4 star mechanism and this huge gap of 2 star and 3 star,5 star system is much more stable.
I personally don't think the system is broken and would be okay keeping it 3 stars. However, i like your idea and am always interested in giving new stuff a try when it has been thought out and wouldn't hurt the game in any way. Your 4 star system is a good idea; no reason not to have discussion about it and maybe give it a shot someday.
Generally not a bad idea. After reading through countless pages here, I am not swayed either way. There may be however, better/simpler ways to go about breaking draws....
My personal favorite would be a sudden death round, ClanWar is Extended for a set amount of time and everyone gets one more attack. this would never work for many reasons but i think it would be cool nonetheless :)
you could also simply break ties by giving the win to the clan with more average destruction. like winning a boxing match by points and not K.O. This would elimate the problem of clans that obviously outplayed thier enemy being shafted with bad rewards and you dont have to add any stars. The average destruction feature is already in place....
