Request: better clan communication tools

Hey guys, here's a request that I'd like you to consider, and share your own ideas.

We run a mixed "Lads and Dads" clan, adults and kids down to age 8 or so. We're trying to better coordinate the clan, both in Clan Wars and in general. Unfortunately, important messages on the "Clan Chat" tool tend to get lost or ignored after they scroll down too far. So I've got two simple ideas that I hope would allow clans to better communicate with each other.

1) Make Clan Mails mandatory reading

Whenever you get a clan mail, it immediately takes you to the screen showing the mail, plays a little trumpet fanfare, and pauses for 15 seconds to read it. If you log in after receiving a mail, it also takes you directly to the mail and pauses. Needless to say, there should be an exception about the "immediateness" if you are in the middle of an attack. :)

2) Allow Private Messaging

Allow Leaders, Co-Leaders, and Elders to send private messages to fellow clan members. Just like above, they should be "mandatory reading" - you immediately jump to the message screen (unless in the middle of an attack). A limit of 1 private message/day or similar might make sense.

Anyone else agree that better communication tools would help the game? Can you think of any additional or better communication tools?
